Fun Facts & Cool Features
Skydive Costa Rica offers one of the most scenic jumps in the world. The contrast of blue ocean waters, dense green forests, and the volcanic landscape creates an unparalleled patchwork of natural beauty.
A cool feature, or should we say a "comforting feature," is the company's commitment to safety. Aside from the instructors' rigorous training, Skydive Costa Rica uses top-of-the-line planes like Cessna 182 and 206. These have been serviced regularly at Aerotechnica, Costa Rica's premiere aircraft mechanics, for over 50 years.
Another comforting feature is the parachutes utilize AADs (Automatic Activation Devices). All parachutes have a tiny computer (AAD) that will deploy the reserve if the student or instructor fails to do so, no matter the reason.
Your skydiving adventure will consist of a 20-minute flight climbing to 10,000 feet over Manuel Antonio National Park. Once you jump from the plane, you'll have a 30-second freefall followed by a 5-8 minute peaceful or wild ride. Like a bird, you'll zoom over the Pacific and rainforest mountains teeming with wildlife.
A unique feature of Skydive Costa Rica is its commitment to environmental sustainability. Understanding the importance of preserving Costa Rica's natural wonders, the company adheres to eco-friendly practices, including using fuel-efficient aircraft and promoting conservation among participants.
With its proximity to some of Costa Rica's top restaurants, you can combine a day of jumping with a celebratory meal at Tacobar Jaco Walk or Exotica.
Whether seeking adrenaline-pumping activity or facing fears, a jump with Skydive Costa Rica promises an enduring memory, making it an essential addition to any Costa Rican vacation.
