About

Off the shores of Cancun lies Isla Mujeres, home to the Zama Beach Club where toes-in-the-sand fine dining awaits.

Mexico's Culinary Guide ranked Zama as one of the top 300 restaurants in Mexico. In 2021, the National Restaurant Association "CANIRAC" set it as one of the area's top 7 restaurants. All this to say, when you visit, you're in for an over-the-top experience.

Zama's luxury beach club concept combines gourmet cuisine, entertainment, and beach and sun. And with Playa Norte nearby, considered one of Mexico's most beautiful beaches, you'll be in one of the Yucatan Peninsula's coveted destinations.

It's a favorite for those looking to wind down while enjoying fresh, coastal-inspired dishes with amazing views of the turquoise Caribbean waters. With breezy, open layouts and plenty of seating to enjoy the ocean views, it embodies the laid-back yet upscale coastal vibe Cancun is known for.

The menu features local flavors with a creative twist. From fresh seafood and steaks to tropical drinks, every entree is crafted with care, ensuring every bite is flavorful.

The setting transitions from daytime lounging to an enchanting evening atmosphere, making it ideal for brunch, lunch, or dinner. Zama is also a popular wedding destination, catering to the bride and groom's wishes.

If you visit Isla Mujeres and the Zama Beach Club, bring your appetite, your camera, and some sunscreen. You'll want to linger a little longer.

Vibe

The club’s exterior blends coastal sophistication with island beauty. The pristine white sand, rustic wooden accents, and swaying palms create a tropical escape. Add the unobstructed views of the turquoise waters, and you have an Instagram-worthy paradise.

Inside, the decor fuses contemporary design with local craftsmanship. Think polished wooden furniture, woven elements, and neutral tones. These interplay with the natural light streaming through the open-air layout, adding to the allure.

The atmosphere is laid-back yet upscale. It’s an oasis where tranquility and vibrancy reign. During the day, it hums with the energy of beachgoers. It transforms into an intimate setting by night with chic lighting and soothing trade winds.

The dining areas include cozy indoor spaces, deck dining at umbrella-covered tables, and tables on the sand. No matter where you sit, you'll have panoramic ocean views.

The cabanas, loungers, and beach setting make Zama Beach Club a quintessential Cancun experience.

Zama Beach Club: Menu & Drinks

A refreshing starter or snack is the Guacamole Zama. This twist on a classic features watermelon with mezcal on top, maguey worm salt, and pico de gallo. Another favorite is the Calamari Rings with beer-battered calamari, habanero mayonnaise, and passion fruit sauce. The fresh calamari has the right amount of heat, making it refreshing after snorkeling and ziplining at Garrafon Park.

The Peruvian-inspired tiraditos are ideal as appetizers or light meals. The Scallop Tiradito will melt in your mouth with fresh scallops, green apple extract, mint, basil, lime juice, and habanero spices.

Entrees include various salads, a raw bar, and seafood choices. You’ll also find a burger, steaks, and pasta like the Creamy Fettuccine. This smooth and rich dish showcases fresh shrimp with crispy bacon in a creamy chipotle sauce. It will satisfy your hunger after snorkeling or diving at the MUSA Underwater Museum.

But the creative tacos are a beach favorite and come in three per order. A standout is the lobster tacos. These handhelds feature fresh lobster in garlic and rosemary butter with a cauliflower puree, avocado, mayonnaise, and red wine vinaigrette.

The drink options include non-alcoholic favorites, signature cocktails, wine, and an impressive list of tequilas. The Mezcandia is a popular and refreshing Zama Cocktail with 400 Conejos Mezcal, watermelon, mint, and lemon. The mezcal’s smokiness and the watermelon and mint's sweetness are united by the lemon's zip.

Dining and drinking at Zama Beach Club is a sensory experience. The attention to detail in food and drinks and the serene seaside setting elevate the overall vibe of any Cancun getaway.
