I take my dogs to Big Bear on the 4th of July to get away from the fireworks in the city. This was my second year at Summit at Sherwood, which is the perfect place for us. The location is excellent: it is close enough to amenities like the grocery store but far enough from the busyness of town. The cabin is small but well-appointed (I learned last year there is no oven, but the toaster oven did the trick!) and has multiple outdoor seating areas to enjoy the fresh mountain air. My dogs love the yard, and the neighbors are friendly. It was a quiet, clean, and cozy place to spend the holiday week, and we hope to return next year.

The tub is peeling and not suitable for a rental. Pest control needed as ants on the tub. The ‘We don’t call 911’ artwork is inappropriate for a rental. Kitchen and sink was clean and Vacasa was very responsive.

My family (plus one dog) stayed here over New Years and the place was perfect! The yard was completely enclosed, which was perfect for our dog. The house was clean and quiet, with everything we needed for our stay!
