About

When your crew rises at the crack of dawn, and you need a stick-to-your-ribs breakfast, head to 4 Corners Diner.

This beloved restaurant has been an Atlantic Beach staple since 1991, when the Ibrahim family took the reins. Over the years, it has become a true landmark on the Crystal Coast, renowned for its hearty meals and friendly service.

Since it opens its doors at 6 AM, it's your go-to for getting a jump on sightseeing. Located across from the Atlantic Beach Causeway, you can beat the crowds to popular attractions on the mainland like the North Carolina Maritime Museum in Beaufort and Big Rock Landing.

Additionally, the eatery is just steps away from AB landmarks, including the Circle Regional Beach Access and the Atlantic Beach Town Park. When you book a sunrise fishing trip with Captain Bates, dine (or grab your breakfast to go), and then take the short walk to the pier.

4 Corners has recently undergone a renovation, modernizing the diner's charm with contemporary amenities and features. We'll dive into this in more detail in our next section.

Whether you're starting your day or grabbing a hot lunch, 4 Corners Diner delivers that "home-cooked" feeling every time.

Vibe

The exterior features a classic, retro look, complete with vintage signage and an inviting façade. As its name implies, it is situated at the intersection of four primary roads, making it easy to visit any of the area's nearby attractions, such as Fort Macon State Park.

As discussed above, the interior was renovated to keep some of the classic diner vibes while updating outdated features. Case in point, the original drop-down ceiling with fluorescent lights has been replaced with finished wood and canned lighting. The result not only modernizes the decor but also adds warmth to the room.

Tiled walls replace those with blackboards and local art, decluttering the space and making it appear larger. The new tiled floor ties the elements together while the new booths and four-top tables complete the new look.

What hasn't changed is the atmosphere. You'll still find the time-tested vibe that has made 4 Corners Diner a popular destination. The laid-back vibe makes you want to stay a little longer, while the friendly and attentive staff make you feel at home.

4 Corners Diner: Menu & Drinks

The menu is packed with classic diner favorites and Southern comfort food. One meal that works for breakfast and lunch is the Shrimp & Grits 4 Corners Style. This Southern classic features fresh shrimp with crispy bacon, shredded cheese, onion, green pepper, tomato, and Old Bay Seasoning. Add the toast, and you're ready for anything the Crystal Coast has to offer!

Breakfast lovers can't get enough of the omelets! These feature three extra-large eggs, making them plate-sized. The Western Omelet has ham, cheese, onions, peppers, and tomatoes. All omelets come with either grits, crispy home fries, and your choice of toast.

Those with a sweet tooth can choose either Belgian waffles, French toast, or pancakes. For an additional cost, add eggs your way and toppings like strawberries, blueberries, cherries, chocolate chips, and pecans.

For lunch, the All-You-Can-Eat Shrimp deal is hard to beat! Aside from an endless supply of prawns, you get clam chowder, French fries, hush puppies, and slaw.

Other lunch choices include hot sandwiches, steaks, platters, soup, and salads.

When it comes to drinks, the milkshakes come in classic flavors like chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry, making them a hit for kids of all ages. If you're looking for something refreshing, the sweet tea is a must-try and pairs perfectly with any meal.

Based upon all of these qualities, 4 Corners Diner must be at the top of your Outer Banks getaway. Here, you'll savor homemade, hearty food in a renovated setting that feels like dining at someone's home, not a restaurant.
