About

Since 1969, Temecula Creek Inn Golf Club has enthralled and challenged golfers with its rolling terrain, stunning mountain backdrop, and shade of ancient oak trees.

Designed by renowned course architect Dick Rossen, the initial layout featured the traditional 18 holes. The layout preserved the native landscape, incorporating the natural water features and mature vegetation into the course design.

A decade later, the facility expanded to a 27-hole championship layout with the addition of the Stonehouse nine, designed by Ted Robinson. This expansion elevated the property's reputation, earning it a prestigious four-star rating from Golf Digest.

There are (3) nine-hole configurations to choose from, each providing varying levels of difficulty and scenic beauty. The Creek Course offers a traditional parkland style with wide fairways and direct approaches. On the Oaks Course, you'll navigate centuries-old trees lining the narrow fairways, requiring precision shots. The Stonehouse Course introduces dramatic elevation changes and blind shots, challenging even the most experienced players.

You'll also be playing on a course that has hosted numerous professional and amateur tournaments. Imagine putting where some of the world's masters have competed? Such notoriety adds to the allure of a game at Temecula Creek Inn Golf Course.

The grounds crew maintain the kikuyu grass fairways and bentgrass greens, ensuring optimal playing conditions year-round. Additionally, they integrate daily water conservation practices into the daily maintenance routine, ensuring environmental stewardship for years to come.

With its rich history and thoughtful design, booking a tee time at Temecula Creek Inn Golf Course is an essential part of any Southern California itinerary.

Temecula Creek Inn Golf Club: Fun Facts & Cool Features

The 27-hole layout stands out as one of the most distinctive features, allowing you to customize your 18-hole experience. For example, combining the Creek, Oaks, and Stonehouse nines in different variations allows you to play multiple rounds over several days without repeating the same course.

The Stonehouse nine is famous for its steep elevation drops and rugged terrain, requiring strategic club selection. You will encounter dramatic views of the surrounding mountains from the elevated tee boxes on this section of the course.

Another fascinating element is the authentic 1800s stone cabin situated right on the course. Quarry workers built this rustic structure over a century ago, and it now serves as a unique historical landmark for players navigating the Stonehouse nine. The structure offers a glimpse into the region's pioneering history while adding an unexpected architectural element to the game.

The ancient oak trees dotting the Oaks Nine provide both beauty and formidable hazards. These massive trees date back hundreds of years, predating the course. Their sprawling branches force players to execute precision shots and punch-outs.

In addition to the trees, the intricate network of water features on the Creek Nine demands constant attention. Streams and lakes guard several greens, making distance control a mandatory skill for securing a good score.

The course's proximity to other top attractions makes planning a multi-faceted itinerary easy. For instance, after a round of golf, head to Old Town Temecula for a meal at any of the top-rated restaurants like Baily's. If some of your group don't golf, they can visit landmarks like Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve and Pechanga Resort Casino. The possibilities are endless!

Visiting Temecula Creek Inn Golf Course on a California vacation offers pristine natural landscapes, reliable course conditions, and a rich local history all in one location.
