In 2018, Temecula locals and vineyard owners Dan and Cathy Gibson stepped in to give it new life. With the help of Schoos Design, the Gibsons transformed the space into a vibrant bistro that celebrates the wine country lifestyle. The renovated space retains the building’s historic character while adding rustic finishes and eclectic touches inside and out.
Since opening, Small Barn Old Town has become a go-to spot in Temecula, offering menus inspired by global flavors and featuring locally sourced ingredients.

Settle into a delightful brunch with a Get Roasted Bloody Mary. This creative cocktail showcases roasted tomatoes with garlic, bacon, chipotle, and a savory Gherkin pickle garnish. The charcuterie, soups, and salads are lighter choices, while the eggs Benedict, fried chicken sandwich, and steaks and eggs will appeal to those craving heartier fare.
The mid-day selections feature lighter meals, such as a charcuterie board, seasonal soup, and salads. A standout is the Hamachi crudo, featuring thinly sliced Japanese yellowtail with Galbi vinaigrette, plum, cucumber, apple serrano, and cilantro.
