About

When your Georgia getaway needs fine dining in a setting exuding Southern Charm, visit The Olde Pink House

Located in the Historic District, this refurbished mansion was built in 1789 by James Habersham Jr. The home exudes Georgian architectural style and was the family’s residence before transitioning through different uses.

Its iconic pink facade, a result of fading red brick beneath plaster, became its signature feature. In 1971, the Habersham Home became a restaurant, and the rest, as they say, is history.

The mansion’s exquisitely renovated dining areas harken back to when Cotton was king. The cuisine is distinctly Southern but with modern twists and creative touches. These combine to make for a memory-making dining experience.

The eatery’s central location makes it the perfect dining destination after a day of exploring the area. For instance, indulge in a celebratory dinner after a round of golf at The Club at Savannah Harbor. Swing by for lunch after exploring Forsyth Park. Nearby is its sister restaurant, Garibaldi Savannah, serving Italian-inspired seafood. With so much to see and do, the possibilities are endless!

Let your imagination soar at The Olde Pink House, where history, succulent cuisine, and a regal atmosphere await.

Vibe

Words alone can’t capture the splendor that awaits at the mansion. Suffice it to say one glance at the facade will take your breath away.

The carnation pink exterior behind the ivy encircling the stately columns is inviting and calming. The Georgian design, with large windows, reflects its historical roots, making it a picturesque stop on any walking tour.

The interior blends antiques with timeless elegance to create a one-of-a-kind ambiance. Historic portraits and vintage chandeliers add a genteel warmth, while each room has a unique personality.

The Planters Tavern downstairs is a cozy bar ideal for a casual drink or meal by candlelight. Outdoor seating invites diners to enjoy Savannah’s mild weather in an inviting al fresco setting.

The mansion’s vibe is versatile, accommodating black-tie events, romantic dinners, and laid-back family lunches.

The Olde Pink House: Menu & Drinks

With various menus, we can’t possibly list all the must-try items. Instead, we’ll list a few so you get the gist of what to expect.

A stellar appetizer on the lunch and dinner menus is the “Southern Sushi.” This creative starter uses Southern staples to create unique flavors. Smoked shrimp and grits are rolled into a coconut-crusted nori (seaweed), making it the perfect blend of East meets West.

When craving something lighter for lunch or dinner, try the Strawberry Arugula Salad. The bed of fresh arugula is covered with sliced strawberries, spiced pecans, and goat cheese. Poppyseed vinaigrette unites the flavors and textures perfectly.

After a day exploring area landmarks such as the Cathedral of St John the Baptist, celebrate with the Jumbo Sea Scallops. This seafood entree features fresh scallops with herb butter, mashed potatoes, and fresh green beans.

A true standout is the Pecan Crusted Chicken Breast. The blackberry bourbon glaze transports this Southern classic into the stratosphere of flavors. Accompanying the chicken are sweet potatoes with pecan vanilla butter and collard greens. The flavors, textures, and colors make this meal a star attraction.

The drink menu is equally impressive, serving top-shelf spirits for supreme cocktails or to sip neat or on the rocks. You’ll also find the wine and beer list has something to pair with the diverse menus.

Dining at The Olde Pink House combines Southern history with creative Southern entrees, making it a must-visit on your Savannah getaway.
