What makes Atlantic Beach fascinating is its rich history. Our story began in 1885 when oil tycoon Henry M. Flagler purchased the Jacksonville and Atlantic Railroad. 

With a passion for developing Florida's vacation potential, he built the Continental Hotel on Atlantic Beach. The resort featured 250 guest rooms, large parlors, and a dining room. He added a 9-hole golf course, dance pavilion, tennis courts, fishing pier, and riding stable. Vacationers flocked to Atlantic Beach until 1919 when the resort burned.

As mentioned, Atlantic Beach is close to other well-known landmarks, like Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park, which is north of the beach. The 1.5-mile-long beach has over 20 miles of trails for mountain bikers and hikers to enjoy. The park is also home to one of the region's top surfing destinations, known by surfers as The Poles. Toss in picnic tables, a children's splash park, and a large pond for fishing, and you can see why it's a top draw.

This iconic eatery is owned and operated by four Irish sisters who incorporate family recipes and local favorites into the menu.

• Continue on I-95 N for approximately 16 miles. 
• Take exit 366B to merge onto FL-202 E toward Jax Beach. 
• Continue on FL-202 E for about 8 miles. 
• Take the exit toward Atlantic Blvd/FL-10. 
• Merge onto Atlantic Blvd (FL-10) and continue for about 3 miles. 
• Turn left onto 1st St N.
