The railroad is nicknamed the 'Heber Creeper' because of the train's slow, creeping speed. This leisurely pace gives passengers ample time to absorb the stunning panorama of majestic mountains, serene lakes, and fertile valleys.

The locomotives and passenger cars are original and date back to the 1900s. A dedicated team of mechanics and specialists keeps the train in tip-top shape. The railroad offers various train rides throughout the year, including the popular 'Provo Canyon Limited' and themed rides such as the 'North Pole Express' during the holiday season.

Popular scenic rides are the Lakeside Limited and the Deer Creek Express. Lakeside is a two-hour ride through the south end of the Heber Valley and around the Deer Creek Reservoir. The Deer Creek 90-minute round trip offers incredible views of the Wasatch mountains and the wide-open vistas of Deer Creek Reservoir. • From Heber City, Utah, head south on Main St toward E 100 S/Bank Ln.
• Continue to follow US-189 S.
• Turn right onto River Rd.
• Finally, turn right onto N 600 W.
• The destination is on the right.
