About

When vacationing in Idaho, there's an enchanting world waiting to be discovered. Welcome to the Starlight Mountain Theatre!

The history of Starlight Mountain Theatre is steeped in a love for the arts and a passion for community. It all began in 2000 when R. Ed Davis, founder of the theater, decided to turn his dream into reality. He transformed an open field into a captivating outdoor theater, providing a unique and magical experience for locals and visitors alike.

But with low attendance, and mounting debt, Ed and his family wondered if the dream had turned into a nightmare. Thankfully, news spread, attendance grew, and the outdoor theater found its footing.

Today, the facility offers season tickets, has an Educational Outreach Program, and features open auditions.

Starlight is convenient to other Garden Valley things to do, making it easy to plan your itinerary. Around the bend is Garden Valley Ridgetop Rentals supplying UTVs, snowmobiles, kayaks, and e-bikes to explore Boise National Park. North of the theater is Cranberryhill Studio, where local artists craft unique glass art.

Starlight Mountain Theatre offers affordable, family-friendly entertainment that will enhance your Idaho getaway.
