Rocky Point Rally

About

For over 20 years, Puerto Peñasco has hosted the Rocky Point Rally — known as “The Greatest Motorcycle Fiesta South of the Border.” Since it started in 2001, this lively beachside biker event has grown into a major tradition, drawing nearly 8,000 motorcycles each year over U.S. Veteran’s Day weekend.

Bikers and fiesta lovers ride in from Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, California, Washington, Oregon, Alaska, and across Mexico. It’s considered one of the best rallies in the country on both sides of the border. The Rocky Point Rally generally takes place the 2nd weekend in November (near Veteran's Day). Check their website for updates.

How to Register

Early bird online registration open in around September, with discounts for registering in advance.

Every registrant receives a rally package with the official patch, pin, pirate ship cruise pass, merch, and more. Online registrants can pick up packets at Will Call. If you register at the Barclin gas station just north of town, you’ll even get fresh fish tacos prepared by local culinary students.

Where and Why You Should Register

You can register online ahead of time or in person on Thursday and Friday (9 AM – 5 PM). Main spots include:

  • The first gas station just past the bridge coming in from Sonoyta
  • A registration tent outside Puesta del Sol Restaurant at Playa Bonita Hotel

We strongly encourage everyone — bikers and friends alike — to register. All proceeds from registration fees go directly to local charities. Since 2001, the rally has raised more than $180,000 USD for important community causes in Puerto Peñasco.

Supported organizations include:

  • Fire Department
  • Local Red Cross & ambulance service
  • Municipal family services (DIF)
  • Women’s cancer screening group
  • La Montaña school for children with special needs
  • Home for the elderly
  • Educational scholarships (DIF)

Funds are raised through registration fees, Poker Run cards (available online or on-site Thursday & Friday), and the Saturday Bike Show at City Hall.

Don’t forget to thank the amazing rally volunteers — they’re friendly, helpful, and always ready to give directions or lend a hand. You can also buy official rally apparel at the main registration area or at the gift shop in Playa Bonita Resort by Saturday.

Rocky Point Rally: Events & Activities

The official schedule features plenty of fun:

  • Charity Poker Run (Thursday & Friday) — self-guided or join the group meet-up on Friday
  • Bike Show at City Hall on Saturday morning, followed by the big Bike Parade through town
  • Queen of the Streets Ladies’ Bike Show on Friday at Margarita Mermaids
  • Friday Night Beach Fiesta at Playa Bonita — where the rally originally began over 20 years ago

The Malecón (Old Port) by day and Calle 13 by night become the heart of the action. The Mirador area is also popular. From Cholla Bay to Sandy Beach, bars, restaurants, and open-air venues crank up the music with live bands all weekend long, welcoming everyone with open arms.

Even if you’re not riding a motorcycle, the Rocky Point Rally delivers an unforgettable mix of “Mardi Gras meets Sturgis” vibes — great music, good food, beach parties, and fantastic people. It’s the perfect time to experience the best of Rocky Point!
