About
A contender for the best steak house in town and certainly the most trendy of Rocky Point Mexico Restaurants, Moo sits at the heart of Rocky Points Malecon. The bold black and red interior is home to some really original menu items. The seating is upholstered in two-tone cowhide. The service is attentive, and the bartender concocts creative and fun specialty drinks. This is one of the best places to go for date night or a special celebration!
Upstairs, the open-air terrace is a classy spot with panoramic sunsets. Enjoy the parade below that is the Malecon. The downstairs patio by the bar lets you people watch to your heart's content. There is also a small fireplace for cool evenings. Live music is a cut above here as well, with weekends featuring live saxophone, Salsa, and ’80’s Rock! Moo is in the building that originally housed Lillies, one of the town's wildly popular original restaurants.
The restaurant takes full advantage of the Sonoran beef that this state is justly famous for, with a menu that should appeal to true steak aficionados. Reservations are usually needed as this steakhouse is in a prime location and is quite famous among visitors!
Some Must Try Food at Moo Steakhouse and Grille:
Decadent Starters
All the starters on this menu will satisfy, but we do have a few favorites we recommend. Firstly, the Cheese Board and Texas Twinkies are great finger food. These are great for sharing and the cheese board is especially great with wine. Next off, the Tour of Slider. This trio includes 3 delicious and unique sliders - this is great as a meal or as an appetizer for two! Lastly, you must try the poke nachos here. It's refreshing while offering the perfect balance between sweet and tangy.
Burgers
A couple of stand-out offerings among the Moo burgers include The Gordo Burger. A custom patty is stuffed with mozzarella and mushrooms, then topped with a bacon-wrapped onion ring, lettuce, and tomato. It is served with a syringe of cheese!
Another good choice is The Boozy Burger. This burger has cheddar cheese, caramalized onions, bacon, and is topped with a Jack Daniels reduction sauce.
The Best Steaks In Rocky Point
Great Sonoran beef offerings, with knowledgable wait staff there to help answer any question. Choose from the 20oz Porterhouse presenting the filet and New York Strip with the bone intact for contrast, the signature 32oz Tomahawk Chop with a great presence of marbling, along with great Rib Eye, T-Bone, or Brazilian Steak Pichanha.
Topping choices for steaks include a bacon and mushroom demiglaze, Argentinian Chimichurri, Black Pepper reduction, or Gorgonzola cream sauce.
Delicious Table-side Offerings
Your waiter can make you a great Caesar Salad from scratch right at your tableside. Additionally, you can add shrimp or chicken. Similarly, they can put together an impressive desert as you watch. The Mont Blanc is homemade butter cake-topped with vanilla ice cream, Bailey’s, caramelized condensed milk, and white chocolate.
Desserts
This loaded dessert menu makes decisions very difficult! All five of their signature offerings will be the perfect ending to your delicious meal. But, if it is your first time here, we highly recommend trying The Mont Blanc. This signature table-side dessert is more than just a sweet treat, it's actually an experience! It has homemade butter cake, vanilla ice cream, Bailey's Irish Cream, caramelized condensed milk, and white chocolate.
Moo Steakhouse and Grille has something for everyone and is a perfect choice for dinner after a long day of tequila tasting or laying on the beach. Next time you're in Puerto Penasco, be sure to make a reservation. You won't be disappointed!
