About
Healthy, light breakfasts and lunches inspired by Australian classics await at Five5eeds!
This healthy eatery was the brainchild of an Aussie husband-and-wife duo, Andrew and Tiffany Percy. They started the eatery in 2015 after moving to Park City so their children could ski and race. Shortly after arriving, they opened Five5eeds, naming it after their five children. And the reason for opening a restaurant in Park City? They missed their Australian food and coffee! More on that in our next section.
In 2023, the family returned to Australia and sold Five5eeds to Ian Pope, Price Nicol, and Mark Shrayber. Pope, also Australian, had been managing the restaurant for four years before becoming owner.
The goal at Five5eeds is simple: to provide the best Aussi-inspired coffee, superb food, and exceptional service. Everything on the menu is made to order and uses fresh, local sources whenever possible. The menu changes with the seasons, ensuring tasty fare year-round and that there's something new to try no matter when you visit.
Five5eeds's location makes it the perfect breakfast stop before exploring and hiking at McPolin Barn. It's also a go-to before or after a summer or winter outdoor activity with Red Pine Adventures.
The eatery is open seven days a week from 7:30 AM until 3:00 PM and serves breakfast all day. The quaint restaurant features a vibrant decor with plenty of seating, while the covered front patio is idyllic when temperatures are warm.
With a diverse menu that will appeal to various diets and restrictions, dining at Five5seeds will enhance any Utah getaway.
Vibe
The decor is very modern, mixed with minimal. Plants welcome you at every turn - even their tables have baby cactus. The environment is cozy and relaxed, with nooks here and there for privacy.
Wood is featured predominantly in the interior, with beams across the ceiling, paneled walls, and tables. The ceiling's exposed ductwork and track lights combine contemporary with an industrial feel. In another section of the restaurant, an open-faced bookcase is stocked with plants, adding a welcome touch of greenery to the area.
The relaxing atmosphere is energetic as people sip coffee and eat meals to prepare for their day in the mountains. While the setting may not suit a romantic meal, it certainly is suitable for all ages and interests.
The front covered patio attracts patrons seeking al fresco dining, while several umbrella-covered tables are also available. When temperatures drop, the portable heaters keep guests cozy, making the area useable throughout the seasons.
No matter where you sit, you will experience the charm and character of one of Park City's best breakfast restaurants.
Five5eeds: Menu & Beverages
As mentioned, Five5eeds takes great pride in its coffee, which it imports from Melbourne, Australia. So, what's so unique about Australian coffee?
It starts with the beans. Australian coffee is medium-bodied with a milder flavor than beans worldwide. It is known for having chocolate and nutty flavors with a distinct sweetness and lack of bitterness. Next, baristas make Australian coffee the espresso style, not the drip style found in the United States. The result: a much smoother, lighter, and more caramel-tasting cup of Joe.
Now, let's explore some of the popular menu items at Five5eeds.
Few things are more refreshingly delicious (and healthy) than a breakfast bowl. They offer acai, smoothie, and granola bowls along with chia pudding. One favorite is "The Merperson" Smoothie Bowl, which showcases blue spirulina, coconut milk, bananas, mango, and pineapple. On top, it has house-made granola, coconut flakes, kiwi, blueberry, and passionfruit.
The Shakshouka is another fan favorite for breakfast. This scrumptious meal features Moroccan-baked eggs, Meredith Dairy feta, and dukkah, and it comes with Red Bicycle crack bread. For an additional cost, spice it up with Tooele Meats chorizo.
The lunch menu offers surprisingly robust handhelds and offerings. Though there are only a few items, they pack a punch. A few Asian-inspired dishes include their Ahi Poke Bowl and the Asian Chicken Salad. The latter comes with a poached chicken breast, green and red cabbage, carrots, and red onion. To add the right amount of spice, chefs add jalapeño, Thai basil, and cilantro. Peanuts and ginger lime dressing unite the flavors and textures for a tasty meal.
Whether you're spending the day on the slopes or shopping at Tanner Trading, Five5eeds offers fresh, energy-rich cuisine for your day's activity.
