About

The North Beaches Art Walk is a free monthly event in the Beaches Town Center that showcases area artists, artisans, and musicians. And it is one of the best things to do on a Jacksonville Beach vacation.

The outdoor festival was established in 2007 and takes place along the picturesque Atlantic Beach, where guests can explore various art forms with the surf in the background. The art walk is also where emerging artists establish themselves, which means every event brings new opportunities to explore.

The North Beaches Art Walk is held rain or shine on the third Thursday of every month. With its central location, you can combine a visit with checking out any of the other nearby landmarks and restaurants. After a morning tee time at Jacksonville Beach Golf Club, visit the art walk. Since the event runs from 5-9 PM, you can explore the booths when they open, followed by a meal at Sonapa Grille to enjoy California wine and artisan cuisine.

When it first started, the community event attracted a modest crowd. Nowadays, it boasts hundreds of attendees and features a rich variety of crafts, healthcare products, food, and live music.

With something for everyone at The North Beaches Art Walk, visiting it on your getaway is a must.

North Beaches Art Walk: Fun Facts & Cool Features

One exciting feature of the North Beaches Art Walk is the wide array of artistic mediums. You'll discover traditional paintings, murals, books, handcrafted goods, homemade goodies and treats.

A cool feature is meeting the artist, craftsman, author, and musician to hear the story behind their product or artistic vision. This adds value to the products and connects visitors with the visionaries.

Another standout aspect is the partnership with local businesses that host the event. These businesses open their doors and transform their spaces into temporary galleries for new and established artists. This collaboration boosts foot traffic for the businesses involved and acquaints visitors with unique shopping and dining experiences they may not have discovered otherwise.

The festival also fosters community engagement with art demonstrations and workshops. These interactive experiences give guests an up-close experience of the artistic process, fostering a deeper appreciation for the skill and creativity involved.

As mentioned, its proximity to other landmarks, like Little Talbot Island State Park, makes visiting several attractions doable in a day. When you need dinner or cold drinks, Flying Iguana Taqueria & Tequila Bar, and other eateries are within walking distance.

Visiting the North Beaches Art Walk during a vacation in Jacksonville is an opportunity to experience the local culture and arts scene first-hand. The blend of art, music, food, and friendly faces makes it one of the best things to do on a Jacksonville vacation.
