About

Prepare to immerse yourself in a delightful journey of mouthwatering delights. The history of Back 40 Ranch House Grill is as fascinating as the food is irresistible.

The restaurant's original structure was a ranch house dating over 80 years. In the late 40s, it was moved to its current location and became Heber Valley's first bar.

The north half of the building was added in the mid-1980s, with the latest renovation in 2015. The owners reuse old lumber and fixtures to add a retro vibe and stay true to their sustainable roots.

While the decor is essential to one's dining experience, the primary feature is the food, and Back 40 Ranch House Grill sets the bar high.

In an area surrounded by looming mountain ranges and rolling pastures, this is where farm-to-table cuisine has thrived for generations. Back 40 gets its beef from the Circle Bar Ranch, located two fields behind them.

All their bread comes from a local bakery, as does the salt. Rest assured, you're getting locally sourced, fresh, stick-to-your-ribs cuisine. Every dish represents a piece of Heber Valley's rich agricultural history and is as fresh as the mountain air.

The founders of Back 40 Ranch House Grill believe in giving back to the local community. They donate a meal to a local family every Friday based on email nominations.

They offer curbside meals ready to go if you're on the go. But if vacationing in Heber City, you owe it to yourself to dine at the restaurant to savor the entire package. Whether lunch, dinner, or brunch, dining at the Back 40 Ranch House Grill promises an unforgettable dining experience.

Vibe

The Back 40 Ranch House Grill is the perfect combo of rustic charm, welcoming ambiance, and modern philosophy and philanthropy.

The aged ranch-style exterior blends with the new additions seamlessly, making for an attractive facade.

Inside, you're greeted by a remodeled area boasting earth-tone colors and wooden beams across the ceiling. Adding to the contemporary look are track and hanging lights that add the right amount of illumination.

The atmosphere is relaxed with a touch of sophistication and is ideal for casual get-togethers and special occasions.

The homey vibe is comfortable and inviting, and feels more like you're in a friend's home than a restaurant.

Back 40 Ranch House Grill is family-friendly, accommodating, and where no one leaves hungry or a stranger.
