About

There are a lot of places to eat in this area of West Yellowstone, and overall you'll find great service. But I think TR's Burgers is one of the best choices that hit the mark every time!

It seems like such a simple location, with burgers and brats to choose from, but everything is done so well, and it is such a reliable option overall. I really find this to be a must when I am coming into town for the weekend.

TR’s Burgers is built on the goal of having good food, and I can tell they know what they are doing every time I come in.

And aside from the food, the people here are great. I have found everyone to be super friendly and welcoming.

And if friendly service isn’t enough, you may even be lucky to get some great specials. They change regularly, so make sure to ask. And if you’re looking for great brews, look no further—there are often fantastic brews available for those who are looking for a refreshing cold one.

It’s truly the perfect way to really relax and unwind after a fun Yellowstone adventure!

Oh, and here's some great news, too. They are not expensive—you can easily make this a meal or two that fits your budget.

Vibe

Relaxed and laid back are the words I would use to describe the vibe at TR’s Burgers. It is a bar, but it's a bit more upscale without being too rustic and traditional.

They have music, and the lighting is good. It's definitely family-friendly, too.

TR's Burgers: Menu & Drinks

The menu is filled with good things, including burgers, brats, salads, and lots of dipping sauces to enjoy.

If you want a burger for your meal, I highly recommend The San Juan, which is spicy with pepper jack cheese, jalapenos, green chile salsa, and smooth garlic aioli. It's excellent, especially with the cool avocado spread that comes with it, too. You can also change it up with a bison patty if you want.

And if you are looking for a brat, they offer a few different options, including the traditional option with mustard. However, I recommend The Adventurer (it's super appropriate for the area, right). It has beer cheese and spicy jalapenos on it and comes on a pretzel bun.

One of the things TR's Burgers is known for is its sauces. There are a lot of options here, including some I already mentioned, like the garlic aioli. I also like the siracha aioli and the Bully Sauce, which is more of a mayo base.

And if that’s not enough,  I highly encourage you to check out their desserts. Now, it can change from time to time, but my favorite is the Teddy's Spectacles. You choose from vanilla or chocolate ice cream, and then you get an espresso shot and shavings of dark chocolate over the top.

All I can say is YUM! It is so rich and decadent.

Local Tips

  • Come hungry and get a starter, like the fried mac & cheese bites, where are some of my favorite snack foods (take some home with you).
  • They offer a gluten-free bun for those who need one. I don't have any experience trying it, but they seem to sell it well.
  • Go with the beer cheese and bacon on your fries. It is probably one of the best things you've had in a long time.
  • If you like it, check out the Fried Elote with the spicy cheese and aioli, it is one of the best I have found.
  • Keep in mind, like many of the other options in the area, TR's Burgers is a seasonal location. They tend to be open around the beginning of May and will continue to operate into October, but this can change from one year to the next.
