About
Beauty, tranquility, and natural wonders await guests at the Heathcote Botanical Gardens.
Located in Fort Pierce, Florida, the Heathcote Botanical Gardens is a breathtaking 30-acre subtropical haven dedicated to promoting the knowledge and appreciation of horticulture.
Established in 1985, the gardens were initially the estate of Molly and Jimmie Crandall, who donated the property to a non-profit organization to ensure its preservation.
Over the years, the gardens have grown and evolved into a stunning collection that include a Japanese garden, a palm and cycad walk, a herb garden, a reflection garden, and the famous James J. Smith Bonsai Gallery, which houses the largest public collection of tropical bonsai in the United States.
The Heathcote Botanical Gardens' mission is not just to display various plants but also to educate its visitors on the importance of conservation and the vital role that plants play in our ecosystem.
With a team of dedicated staff and volunteers, the gardens host a series of educational programs, workshops, and events throughout the year for visitors of all ages.
The Heathcote Botanical Gardens offers a delightful experience for nature lovers, gardening enthusiasts, and anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
With its affordable entrance fee and an average duration of 2-3 hours to experience the attraction, it is a must-visit destination in the Treasure Coast area.
