Blondie's Pizza

Blondie’s Pizza is a fantastic pizza shop that we happened to fall in love with during our stay in Sunriver, Oregon. It’s a small little shop that is using some pretty amazing recipes to create fantastic dishes. I have to say that it is one of the best pizzas we have ever had. The company makes a true Italian home-baked pizza. They also have other items on the menu, such as pastas, calzones, sandwiches, and more. I can ensure that the items you get are going to be fresh and full of flavor. That’s our experience the few times we visited.

I learned a bit about the location. It was first opened in 1989. Since that time, it was run by a local family who wanted to create really fresh and more authentic pizza than what is found otherwise in this area. The pizzas are great – including all of your favorite toppings. Even better, you can stop in at 10:30 in the morning to pick up a pizza to take with you on your trail or other excursions for the day.

How To Get To Blondie's Pizza

Blondie’s Pizza is located in The Village at Sunriver area. It’s located on the eastern portion of this area, right off Beaver Drive. You can get to Beaver Drive from Abbott Dr. It’s close to Sunriver Brewing Company, Village Bar and Grill, and Marcello’s Cucina Italiana.

If you are ordering from Blondie’s Pizza, you have several options. You can easily order over the phone and pick it up. You can order online as well. There is also a window where you can order your pizza. I’m not sure of the past or the future, but when we visited, the location did not offer sit-down or eat-in service. You can only take it with you to eat at another location. If you are out and about, you can stop in and order your pizza at the window. You can then wait for a few minutes until it is ready in the front area of the pizza shop. You can then pick it up and take it with you. I recommend going to one of the nearby parks or even your hotel room to enjoy it.

What’s on the Menu

The pizza is the main focus of this location’s offerings (there are other items, too). You can choose between 10”, 13”, or 15” for all pizzas. Now, there are a lot of options, so if you are very picky, you may want to choose the build-your-own pizza options. They come with tomato sauce and cheese, and then you can choose from toppings, including fajita chicken, Canadian bacon, linguica, steak strips, and BBQ chicken, along with the normal options. Some of the more unique options include Garlic Lovers Garlic, sundried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, spinach, gorgonzola cheese, and feta cheese.

Some of the fun selections in pizzas include the River Runner, which has mushrooms, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, salami, sausage, and beef on it. You can also choose the Coco’s Classic, which features a pesto sauce with fajita chicken, Garlic Lovers Garlic, and fresh tomatoes. The Creamy Chicken pizza has a parmesan-based cream sauce that is fantastic and has fajita chicken, garlic, and red bell peppers on it.

Also, check out all of the sauces they offer. We loved the tomato sauce finding it full of flavor and balanced, not too sweet or too bitter. The parmesan cream sauce is rich and creamy. The focaccia style option offers virgin olive oil with Garlic Lovers Garlic.

If you want something other than pizza, they have options for you here, too. That includes calzones made with meatballs, pesto, Hawaiian style, and numerous others. You can also choose the cheese bread, garlic bread, or what we loved, the cheesy garlic bread. You can also get soft bread sticks if you prefer to enjoy some bread with your purchase.

They also offer a full lineup of salads (and these are not just your basic pizza topping salads). There’s a cobb salad, Caesar salad, four seasons salad, and numerous other options. They offer a wide selection of dressings, and they will customize salads to meet your needs.

Our Recommendations

Let’s be clear. Any of the pizzas you get here are worth it. You’ll love them. The ingredients are fresh, and you can tell the crust was made in house. It’s a fun little place, but the quality of the food is fantastic. I find it to be much improved over any of the national chains that are in this area or the surrounding region.

I also have to recommend the garlic cheese breed. It was so filling and packed with flavor. It’s made with fresh pieces of garlic that isn’t too overpowering. It is best hot and fresh so eat it right away when you receive your order.
