Chef Luca won the Iron Chef competition in Rocky Point in 2010 and his restaurant earned the TripAdvisor Traveler's Choice award in 2021, one meal in this beautiful Italian palace will show you why. History Behind Pane e Vino 

At the top of the cliff of the ancient restaurant "Lighthouse" on Whale Hill this beloved rocky point restaurant is located. It's run by Luca Appedino, a chef born in Turin, Italy, he spent five years at San Remo 's Istituto Professionale Alberghiero (Culinary School). In Italy, he worked for a number of restaurants and resorts. His final restaurant in San Remo was 3 Pini Ristorante, where he worked from 1995 until 1999.

He moved to the United States in 2000 and began working for Tutti Santi in several places, his most recent employment in Arizona being Tutti Santi Scottsdale (2007-2010). Soon after, he relocated to Puerto Penasco and and on June 30, 2011, he launched his own restaurant, "Pane e Vino," an intimate fine dining Italian restaurant where you can delight in the flavors of their homemade pasta, bread, meat seafood dishes, and much more. 

Must Try Menu Items 

  • Lasagna:

    This traditional lasagna comes with ground meat and Italian sausage. The sauce is flavorful and made of organically grown tomatoes. Joined with a creamy mozzarella cheese, this is easily the best lasagna in town! 

  • Torre de Mariscos:

    This tower is overflowing with fresh, delicious seafood, including clams, scallops, oysters and octopus. The seafood is seasoned with a variety of spices, making it a flavor feast for your mouth. This tower would make the perfect shareable for your table. 

  • Pizza:

    An Italian restaurant is only as good as their pizza! One of the many things that make the pizza at Pane e Vino so great is the crust. The crust is made in a traditional wood-fired oven. This oven gives the crust its perfect texture and flavor, something that cannot be duplicated with a standard oven or grill.

  • Chocolate Lava Cake:

    The intense, rich flavor of this fudge chocolate cake bursts in your mouth like a Fourth of July firework! This dessert alone will keep you coming back for more... or ordering another to go.

I love Pizza! One of my favorite foods since I was a little girl is pizza, and Chef Lucca has one of the best pizzas in town, just this past weekend we ordered a seafood pizza, it had shrimp clams, and octopus. The views from the restaurant are unbelievable, the staff is very friendly and they have other items on their menu that you will love, like lasagna and their tiramisu. I really recommend you add Pane Vino to the places to visit while in Rocky Point.

This restaurant has a unique view that you can not miss, besides being able to enjoy a good meal, being able to appreciate the sunset here is a wonderful experience. The customer service is very good and the pizzas were really delicious. This place is highly recommended.

This restaurant is an amazing dinner place. Me and my husband really enjoy the delicious fresh oysters and the Lasagna. This place is super relaxing with a beautiful view of the town. Service is always amazing, highly recommend.

Pane e Vino is an excellent place to eat with a very nice view of the sea! They serve Italian food, like pasta, wood oven pizza, and seafood too. service is great and the place is lovely. This is absolutely a regular place for dinner for me!!

One of the best restaurants in town when it comes to overall experience. Food is amazing, service is nothing less than excellent, and the sunset view from pane e vino is to die for. While they are one of the more nicer places in town, they have a good selection of food for all occasions. If you are there for a more intimate dinner, look no further than their excellent pasta dishes. Taking the family? Dive into what is probably the best pizza in town!

We ordered the pizza and it was so good!! The view is spectacular! And the crew were so nice and friendly. We also tried some desserts and they were the best we've had in a long time. It's a little pricy but definitely worth it.
