History Behind Pane e Vino

Tucked atop the cliff on Whale Hill, where the historic Lighthouse restaurant once stood, Pane e Vino brings Italian passion to Puerto Peñasco. Owner and chef Luca Appedino, a Turin native, trained for five years at San Remo's prestigious culinary institute and honed his skills at top Italian restaurants and resorts, including 3 Pini Ristorante in San Remo from 1995 to 1999.

After moving to the U.S. in 2000 and working at various Tutti Santi locations (most recently in Scottsdale until 2010), Luca headed south. He opened Pane e Vino on June 30, 2011, creating an intimate fine-dining experience centered on house-made pastas, breads, meats, seafood, and more.
