About

Baker Beach is a popular, public (and nude) white sand beach in Trinidad. The landscape here is unlike many other beaches you'll see along the California Coast. With tide pools, large offshore rocks, and spruce-fir-red alder forest, everywhere you look is picturesque.

Getting To Baker Beach

Baker Beach is at the upper end of Scenic Road, found easily with GPS by searching for Baker Beach. Parking is numerous along the street, but on busy days, it will be difficult to snag a spot. However, there are plenty of parking spots lining all of Scenic Road and you can walk enjoy a beautiful stroll to the beach of your choosing.

After you park, you must walk down a decently steep dirt stairway. After it rains, this can be muddy making it a little more difficult. Make sure to take your time to take careful steps as you make your way to the beach. Once you get closer, there will be a couple of rope ladders to aid you. Once you arrive, you'll be glad that you made the trek as it is a stunning beach!

Basic Rules

It's important to note that Baker Beach is a nude beach. Though those who are nude tend to congregate at the farther end of the beach, they roam freely throughout so this is not the most family-friendly beach in the area. For a non-nude beach, visit Luffenholtz or Trinidad State Beach.

  • No camping or fires allowed
  • You must pick up all your trash
  • Dogs are allowed, but you must pick up after them
