About

It's so hard to find a great toy store, which is why I feel lucky to have found All Things Kids in Georgetown, Texas.

It is a cute store that has everything a kid would love (including big kids like me!) There are options for smaller children, including lots of fun, interactive toys too. And the best part, it's more than just a toy store.

When you visit All Things Kids, plan to spend some time here. With both a candy shop and an ice cream shop available onsite, it's the type of place you want to go to spoil the kids and enjoy some fun for yourself, too. One of the best things about the ice cream shop is that they make their own fresh waffle cones right onsite.

If you want to really spoil your child and their friends, host a party here. I attended a party with my child that was beautifully decorated with lots of fun to do. You can choose a theme that will delight your child, and they encourage adults to participate in the fun, too.

I love that they have so many educational but fun toys. For example, you'll find STEM-type items like building tracks and robots here.

They also have guitars, penny whistles, and lots of games and puzzles. So much fun; you and your family will sure to come home with some goodies!

Interesting Facts About All Things Kids

This cool shop is the type of specialty children's shop that's easy to love!

Karen and Christian, who are British and German, along with their son Carl, own All Things Kids. They opened the doors in April of 2011 and then opened a second location as well.

Their history and passion for offering something unique to the community really make this location stand out. It's a great community location and a destination for those visiting or those who live here.

And it’s not just a candy shop or ice cream parlor. Instead, it's a great place to pick up a gift or to buy something special.

At the front of the store is a bookshop and a toy area. These are not the same old toys you can find at the local department store, though. Rather, they have so many toys that are from around the globe.

The owners make sure to look for items that are unique, and they will tell you that they hand-pick every item that is brought into the store. That's important because it really is all about buying quality items, many of which I haven't seen anywhere else.

Getting There

Getting to All Things Kids is easy enough to do as it's right on S. Main Street between W. 7th St. and W. 8th St. It's right across the street from the Williamson County Courthouse.

Cost

There’s no cost to come in and discover the fun interactive toys. Each item ranges in price, but you’ll definitely be able to find something to fit every budget.

They offer candy by the pound and ice cream by the scoop, so you'll likely want to come back a few times!

Local Tips

  • The shop is located just off Georgetown Square. The only parking is along the street, but it's safe and easy enough to walk.
  • If you're an adult, still come in. One of the things that I like to do is grab dinner at Saddle Shop Saloon at Hydrate on the Square and then walk over after for a treat. With so many old-fashioned candies there, you can easily say it's a walk down memory lane.
  • This is a great place to bring kids for art projects. There are so many different products here, including painting and sculpting.
