Encantame Towers

If you like to be away from the hustle & bustle of town or the resort strip, the Encantame Towers is the place for you. Located about 20 minutes from town, it is the newest luxury resort in the Rocky Point area. It consists of 3- 24 story towers with 100 condos per tower situated on 140 acres of land.

The condos here range from spacious 1-3 bedrooms, with the total square footage ranging between 900 to 2400 sq. ft. Each home is also equipped with top of the line features such as Smeg appliances, recessed lighting, and marble baths. From the floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding doors in the living room, you’ll have unobstructed views of Playa Encanto. Also, if you rent a corner unit, you’ll have a stunning wrap-around patio!

There are so many pros when it comes to this luxurious resort. Though, it is a work in progress, there are jacuzzis, kiddie pools, and large heated pools with a swim-up bar. The swim-up bar offers a wide selection of alcoholic beverages and they have a food menu with offerings from the delicious Santo Coyote Ocean Cantina on-site. The Blue Palm Cafe in the lobby is also 0pen and ready to serve you your favorite Starbucks beverages with a delicious breakfast. In addition, the fitness center and massage rooms on the second floor of the lobby are completed. Some amenities that will be available in the future include a driving range, 2 lazy rivers, an adult-only rooftop pool, a convenience store, and more!

Cons: This property is a work in progress so there is construction going on.

Sonoran Sky

Located on the eastern end of Blvd. Dr. Ernesto Guevara del Campo #600 in Rocky Point, this is one of the top-rated resorts by guests. The condos here are all oceanfront and range from 1-4 bedroom units! In addition, the entire top floor consists of 4-bedroom penthouses. All of the condos have oversized balconies for you to enjoy your morning coffee or evening wine on.

From the moment you walk through the lobby doors, you will see luxury everywhere you look. You will also be greeted by a very friendly and helpful front desk staff. This is a one building complex which makes finding your room much easier than in places with multiple buildings. This also makes your walk from the parking lot shorter.

The lobby has a nice seating area as well as a gift shop/mini market. The gym is located just off the lobby and has wonderful views of the Sea of Cortez to enjoy, while getting your workout in. On the 2nd floor, you’ll find the spa. This is also one of the few resorts that features an ocean front dining room. Further, this is one of the resorts with a children’s playground area surrounded by BBQ pits and tables.

Outside, you’ll find 2 large pools with a swim-up bar, jacuzzis, and even a children’s water slide that goes into a kiddie pool! The Tiki Bar is a great place to enjoy a drink while you listen to the water hitting the shore. Moreover, if you are looking for a resort to host an event, Sky has a large banquet room on the 2nd floor and the hotel can offer catering for you. You will not be disappointed by staying here!

Bella Sirena

Next would be the luxurious Bella Sirena on Sandy Beach. It is a full service low density property situated on 14 acres with 220 condos and beach homes. There are five high-rise towers with eight stories each in addition to 20 beachside villas. The rooms here consist of 1-2 bedroom condos. Each has undeniable Mexican charm with beautiful recessed living room ceilings filled with colorful tiles. The property itself is unique because while it is expansive, it still feels very cozy.

This is the place you want to come to if you plan to relax at the resort most of the time – because they have so much to offer right on their property. They offer a total of five pools, 2 jacuzzies, a putting green, tennis and bocce ball courts, and a fitness center. Enjoy a zero edge pool right by the Sea of Cortez after some family mini golf fun, this resort has it all.

Cons: This is a large property so there may be a lot more walking involved in your stay here. (Though this could be considered a pro for some!)

Sonoran Sea

The next resort is the Sonoran Sea, which was the second of the Sonoran Resorts built in 2004. This resort has both an East and West tower and there are 228 condos in total. This resort also has 1-4 bedroom condos that face to the Sea of Cortez from your spacious balcony. It has a swim up bar with views to the water and direct beach access. You have a choice of 3 pools with one of them being heated and 2 jacuzzis to enjoy.

The staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and are there to make your stay a pleasure. The entrance and lobby are very nice and there is ample parking outside each of the towers. Off the entry, you will find a convenience market/gift shop as well as Ramon’s Restaurant. In addition, there is a dive shop that teaches dive classes in the pool for beginners.

On the second floor above the lobby, you’ll find the fitness center loaded with quality equipment. There is also an activity center for the children and a BBQ area for each building. If you like tennis, they have nice tennis courts and a children’s playground. For your safety they have 24 hour security.

Cons: Parking directly in front of the building is usually busy, so you may have to walk a bit to reach the lobby or your room.  On busy weekends, the elevators can be a little slow.

Princesa de Peñasco

Princesa de Peñasco was the 1st high rise development on Sandy Beach! It consists of 1-3 bedroom condos, all with balconies/patios to enjoy your morning coffee outdoors. The homes here vary greatly in style, with some staying true to original furnishings and others completely renovating their condos to a modern look. No matter your style, there is a Princesa home that’s perfect for you.

This resort does not fall short on their amenities! They have 3 pools, a jacuzzie, clubhouse with gym equipment, sand volleyball court, bocce ball courts, BBQ grills, and more! In addition, their pools also have a swim-up bar. Forget something? There is a convenience store on-site for your last minute necessities. For the best selection of craft beers in Rocky Point and a wide selection of American and Mexican favorites, visit Colin’s Cantina on-site. On the beach, there are tons of tables and palapas around for your use!

Cons: Parking may be difficult during busier times, leading to a longer walk to your unit. This is a large property so it’s a short walk across the property to reach the beach.

Sonoran Sun

The Sonoran Sun was the 3rd resort Sonoran Resort to open in 2005. It offers a well laid out property featuring an East and West tower and it’s also the closest resort to the Sea of Cortez. Its proximity to the Sea of Cortez makes for having easy access to fun activities in the area. For example, on the beach here, you can easily find banana boat rentals, ATV rentals, and more.

Each building offers 1-4 bedroom condos which all come with spacious balconies facing the sea. Since this was the 3rd resort. There is lovely garden area between the 2 buildings for you to relax in. On property, you will find Emiliano’s restaurant, a sports bar, and a gift shop/convenience store. The workout area is located on the ground level and has all the latest equipment.

Additionally, there are Palapas on the beach for shade and you can rent kayaks and boogie boards on the property. This a great place for an outdoor wedding or inside using the nice conference room.

Cons: The only con’s are that the restaurant is not open all the time and limited parking next to each tower.
