Boat Light Festival

Mark your calendars around Christmas time to witness a bright, beautiful parade on the water! December 18, 2021 was the 1st Nautical Christmas Light Parade and it was a huge success. Around 20 private and commercial boats took to the water with their boats completely decorated in colorful Christmas lights.

The parade begins at 5PM and the boat route begins at the docks. From there, they'll travel all through the resort strip along Sandy Beach, the Malecon area, and Old Port before returning back to the docks to end the parade. That means you'll be able to enjoy the festival from the comfort of your vacation rental!

There were several more boats that wanted to enter, but due to the cost of lights, they could not. The committee is asking for donations for December 2022, so if you have extra lights or want to donate some, they can be taken to the Baja Cantina Hotel desk. This will become an annual event and will coincide with other art festivals and holiday fares. So, if you own a boat and would like to to enter for 2022, please contact Maru at Eco Fun Adventures.

There is no cost to attend or witness this event, it's simply a fun holiday show that the city puts on for the enjoyment of all! And, to get in the holiday spirit.
