About

A trip to Rocky Point is almost incomplete without a rugged ride on an ATV rental! As one of the most popular activities in Rocky Point, it can easily be considered a rite of passage. This is an exciting and top activity for all including couples, families, individuals, and friend groups!

Rental Companies

There are various companies to rent from with varying hours of operation. Some open around 8AM and others closer to 10AM. When it comes to closing, some close as early as 6PM while others stay open until midnight. It's important to confirm with the companies before finalizing your rental so you don't have to pay extra fees or lose out on time for a full day rental. In addition, while they all carry your basic 4-wheelers, not all rental companies are the same. Some offer more of a variety of ATVs to choose from including RZRs and even Rubicon Jeeps! You'll find rental companies all along Calle 13 and even on some corners of the resort strip.

Cost of Rentals

The cost of rentals varies based on the duration of your rental, how busy the season is, and which rental you choose, of course. However, there is a general guideline for the cost as follows.

  • 4 Wheeler (1 person) for half an hour: $15.00 USD
  • 4 Wheeler (1 person) for an hour: $30.00-50.00 USD
  • Rhinos (4 person) for an hour: $50.00 USD
  • Can-Ams & RZRs (4 person) for an hour: $150-250.00 USD
  • Rubicon Jeep (4 person) for a full day: $800 USD
  • 4 Wheeler (1 person) for a full day: $150.00-250.00USD

It's important to mention that if you do a full day rental, you'll often be required to return the vehicle with a full tank. Also, different companies have different hours of operation. So, a full day may not be the same amount of hours at every spot. Make sure to confirm this before choosing which company to rent from.

Further, all companies will take a credit card, ID, or your car as collateral. If you pay with credit card, they will only take collateral if you rent one of the more expensive vehicles such as the Can-Am, RZR, or Rubicon Jeep. Lastly, these prices can be negotiable with the companies if it's a slow season or day. Of course, there's no negotiating during a time like Spring Break or Semana Santa, but in less busy weeks, you can try.

Most of the rental companies you'll find accept cash only. Though, there are a few that accept card payments. Here are some rental locations that accept credit card:

  • 90 Av. Emiliano Zapata
  • 548 Av. Plutarco Elias Calles
  • 712 Av. Plutarco Elias Calles

Note: If you look these addresses up on Google Maps, it has not been updated for quite some time. But, these are the correct locations. If you go in person, you'll find plenty of rentals waiting for you!

Where to Ride

Rocky Point is such a fun place to rent an ATV because these vehicles are allowed virtually everywhere! You'll see them parked in front of restaurants, driving on the street, etc. Most people explore Calle 13 and the surrounding streets if they have a short-term rental. If you have the rental longer or if you rented your ATV along the resort strip, there is open dirt terrain behind the resort strip. This is easily found by the flags of the rental companies and the dozens of people who go driving over here.

What’s Included
