We’d like to inform you of our ongoing pool project, which began on Nov 18th. The Adult pool, Master pool, and Family Jacuzzi are undergoing demolition, with priority given to the Family Jacuzzi. The only pool available will be the heated pool with a swim-up bar

To minimize disruptions during the holidays, work will be limited on, Dec 24-25 & 31, Jan 1. Please be aware that loud to moderate noise is expected during the construction process. Please take this into consideration when booking your property. We are hoping the project will be completed by April 2024.

Palm trees line Blvd. Paseo de la Duna as it winds above Rocky Point’s Sandy Beach, to the breathtaking Sonoran Sea Resort. You will find all you need for an amazing vacation here without ever having to leave the resort, though we recommend all our guests explore the area and try something new!   Every Resort  has its own personality and style, and the Sonoran Sea Resort is no exception. Cantera stone, handset tile work, and the opulent interior of the main lobby set the tone with understated elegance. The East and West towers of the Sonoran Sea form a shallow V shape that places every condominium close to the beach. All units have enviable ocean views beyond the crisp renovated railings lining oversized patios. Of the many repeat visitors to the Sonoran Sea, it is common to find fans of the sunset facing East Building, or those that prefer sweeping views along the beach to the city lights on Whale Hill from the West Building. Stretching between the arms of these two towers are the Sonoran Sea’s 3 oceanside swimming pools. Along with 2 jacuzzis, lots of chaise lounges, and the friendliest of friendly swim-up bars, a row of palm leaf covered palapas offer a shady base for a day spent enjoying serious beach fun.

Dramatic high and low tides continuously sculpt the coastline along Sandy Beach.  You are sure to come across vendors selling silver jewelry, offering hair braiding, and preparing fresh mangos topped with chile and a squirt of lime, among other treasures. Wade into the sparkling inviting water and hail a Banana Boat for a wild ride, or rent your own Jet Skis, paddleboard, kayak, or just float weightless in the softly undulating sea.

Depending on the time of day, or day of the week, you may find you have this beautiful place mostly to yourself! Enhancing your stay at the Sonoran Sea are nice touches like an on-site coffee bar and convenience store and a surprisingly complete gym with views out to the waves. Ramon’s Restaurant on-site has a big following, especially for Sunday Brunches. There are also 2 BBQ areas, a children’s play zone, and a tennis court on the secure grounds.

The Sonoran Sea offers various floor plans, perfect for couples up to larger groups in the top floor penthouses. Each unit provides complete kitchens, washer and dryer, and of course unbeatable views. All condominiums include roomy patios, with spacious interiors offering the feel of a home away from home.

Unique among the Resorts along Blvd. Paseo de la Duna, you can easily walk from Sonoran Sea to some of the most popular entertainment choices located conveniently just beyond the entry gate. No driving to town, no taxi required.  Off-road vehicle rentals can also be found nearby, ready for a ride over the dunes and desert trails.

Sonoran Sea is steps away from Banditos Bar and Restaurant, home to live music every weekend as well as Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers when in town. Chango’s, famed for seafood dishes, live music, and its own pool bar, is also nearby while Garufa Steak House, Sonoran Grill, and the Sonoran Spa are all less than five minutes beyond the lobby.
