Determined Resolve

Roberto’s path to Puerto Peñasco has crossed borders and cultures, deepening his connection to his family roots while sharpening his drive. The eldest of four brothers, he grew up in Phoenix from age six before returning to Mexico just before turning 20. He spent 14 years in Torreon, Coahuila—his parents’ home state—immersed in the culture and surrounded by a large extended family, including his father’s nine siblings.

Seeking stronger professional opportunities, Roberto arrived in Puerto Peñasco in late 2019 and joined the local workforce in January 2020. His excellent English and natural people skills quickly landed him in customer service with another vacation rental company. He advanced from call center duties to front-desk reception at Sonoran Spa, navigating pandemic challenges, border closures, and unexpected hurdles in tourism that only fueled his determination to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Service Driven

At Sonoran Spa, Roberto’s front-desk role evolved into hands-on supervisory responsibilities, giving him valuable experience working directly with suppliers, owners, and guests. In early 2025, he found a stronger alignment with Casago’s owner-centric approach, streamlined operations, and core values.
