Casago is proud to welcome Puerto Peñasco local Daniel Suarez as the new Resort Manager for Sonoran Star—the fifth condominium in the Sonoran Resorts family and the latest addition to the beautiful Sandy Beach stretch known as “Arizona’s Beach.”

With nearly five years on the Casago Rocky Point team, Daniel is eager to build on our owner-first approach while delivering the exceptional guest experiences our owners expect. Casago founder and CEO Steve Schwab puts it simply: “I know Daniel is the right guy for the job.”

Daniel lives by the phrase “el esfuerzo de hoy es el éxito de mañana”—today’s efforts are tomorrow’s successes. That mindset drives his commitment to outstanding hospitality for both owners and guests.

We caught up with him at Sonoran Sun, where he has served as Resort Manager for nearly four years. As the team prepares to launch vacation rentals in the first phase of Sonoran Star this June, Daniel was all smiles—ready for the next chapter with his signature warmth and easygoing energy.

Daniel Suarez: Dedication to Hospitality

A proud Puerto Peñasco native, Daniel studied mechatronics engineering at the Autonomous University of Baja California in Mexicali. When the pandemic brought him home (what he thought would be temporary), his strong communication skills and fluent English opened the door at Casago. He began in call center support, quickly making a name for himself with our Kona, Hawaii market through his friendly, helpful style.

When a chance to return to engineering arose, Daniel realized his problem-solving abilities were already creating exciting leadership opportunities right here in Rocky Point. He chose to stay—and we couldn’t be happier he did.

For over 3½ years at Sonoran Sun, Daniel has navigated challenges, built strong owner trust, and delivered clear, caring communication with guests. He takes quiet pride in mentoring his team and helping elevate the overall hospitality experience.

Now stepping into his new role at Sonoran Star, he’s excited to bring the same standards of excellence to a brand-new resort.

Dedicated, Empathetic, Strategic

When he’s not at work, Daniel loves unwinding with offshore fishing or watching basketball in his hometown. Travel is another passion—he’s explored much of Mexico and recently added California and Colorado to his list.

Daniel describes himself as dedicated and goal-oriented, deeply empathetic to the needs of owners and guests, and strategic in his thinking—always looking ahead to protect and build on Casago’s nearly 25 years of expertise.
