A Look Back at What We’ve Achieved

Casago is a hospitality company first – dedicated to customer service and offering quality/warmth in its treatment of our employees that make up the company. The Casago team is integrated by qualified people for each position. Every new hire goes to Casago University in Rocky Point, Mexico. Here, they are trained in preparation for their position and learn all about the company’s mission and CREDO. They meet with our Rocky Point team and discover what makes the Casago Team a family. 

In the past two decades, we’ve grown dramatically in both Mexico and the United States. We’ve established a method of expansion by offering business owners the opportunity to compete in the market by becoming a franchise. But, how did this small company grow into a business powerhouse? Let’s take a trip down memory lane to see how it all began.

The Origin: Cindy’s Beach House Rentals

Almost 20 years ago in 1996 after college and several years in the military, young Steve Schwab decided to take a vacation to Mexico. He got a job at Cindy’s Beach House and that began the domino effect of the business that is Casago. Cindy’s Beach House Rentals was a local company in Rocky Point, that offered short-term stays and property/rental management. What started as a summer job turned into a life-changing opportunity. Less than a year later, owners decided to put the business up for sale. With his army background, not much experience in the hospitality industry, and ambition, Steve took the company into his hands. He quickly moved up the ranks in the property management market, learning all aspects of the travel business. 

Changing with the Times

Soon after, he changed the name to Seaside Beach Home Rentals in 2002. The reason behind that name was that almost all of the properties were located on the beach since everything started in Puerto Peñasco.  He continued to invest in technology and data infrastructure to make sure that as the company grew, the technology behind it could continue to support employees. Eventually, the name Seaside didn’t quite fit anymore due to expanding into markets that weren’t necessarily “Seaside”. Therefore, in the early 2018, the company decided to rebrand itself to Casago. The change was drastic and it was met with mixed reactions from both customers and employees. However, this rebranding has already paid off as it helped the firm to expand all throughout Mexico and USA. Today, Casago is in more than 20 cities such as Rocky Point, Snowshoe, Park City, St. Croix, Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, Cancun, Kona, St. Augustine, Tucson and more!

Today, our company has over 250 hard-working employees and professional resort management staff. We are a company that believes in the power of people and that’s why all new employees begin their journey at our Casago University. Being part of Casago means surrounding yourself with fellow people who have a positive outlook and want to make our community a better place for all those who come here.
