Parks


There is fishing and hiking in the city’s abundant park system. Boating (without motors) includes kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding that can be done on one of the city’s lakes.

Catalina State Park


Here you’ll be able to hike or watch the stars. There’s horseback riding through the hills of the Sonoran Desert, camping and viewing wildflowers. Hike back to see Romero Ruins or Romero Pools as well as the abundant saguaros and plant life.

Saguaro National Park


Hike from 3,000 to 8,000 feet as you savor the views of abundant Saguaro cacti. You might also catch sight of jack rabbits, gray fox, bobcats, coyote, mountain lions, ringtails, peccary, deer, coatis, and cottontails.

Sentinel Peak Park


Hike up to the top, passing through the ancient Pima Village. Stunning views await of the Tucson valley below.

Colossal Cave Mountain Park


View fabulous crystals, stalagmites, stalactites, flowstone, boxwork, and helictites on a one-hour trek through a desert cave. The Terrace Outdoor Café serves Arizona beer. Horseback riding fans will love riding at the historic La Posta Quemada Ranch.

Golf


The city offers five municipal courses that date back to the 1930s. While there, you will find a Pro shop and a choice of dining options. Golfing in this city provides great golf as well as beautiful desert backdrops for relaxation.
