San Carlos is filled with beautiful beaches and plenty of sun, so you and your loved ones can spend the day outdoors taking in the sites or just sunbathing. During the end of the summer and beginning of fall, the weather is about 90 degrees, so this is the ideal vacation spot if you love warm days and balmy summer nights. This resort town also has stunning vacation rentals that you can take advantage of, whether you like staying in a villa or condo with modern decor or prefer elaborate accommodations with a number of amenities. Most of the real estate that you’ll have to choose from when it comes to your vacation will also be near the Sea of Cortez, so you can see the crystal clear water from your temporary living space.

Of course, you’ll also want to know about San Carlos events while you’re in town, so that you can make the most of your time in the city. There are golf and fishing events just about year round. If you’re visiting in the beginning of June, you can attend the Yacht Club/Rescate Fishing Tournament, or you can attend celebrations in Guaymas for Mexican Navy Day on June 1. In the middle of July, you can celebrate at the annual Festival del Mar Bermejo, which commemorates the 1854 Battle of Guaymas. The Billfish Tournament, another popular fishing competition in the city, also takes place in mid-July.

You can go to Seal Island to view the marine life up close, and there are scuba and snorkeling sessions you can take advantage of to see how colorful and interesting underwater plants and animals thrive. Cañon Nacupale is nearby, and is a great place for kayaking and swimming. Up for a hike? Mount Tetakawi is popular attraction in the city, since the mountain structure looks like two horns.

There is a golf club in the area, so you can arrange to play a few rounds with friends and family, whether you’re new to the game or have been playing for years. In the evening, take your sweetheart or group of friends to La Salsa Beach Bar to enjoy delicious cocktails and to dance to live music. Additional San Carlos events include planning a fishing trip, so that you can catch your favorite fish using expert tips from your instructor before taking the fish to your vacation space and preparing it for your friends and loved ones.
