Elegant, Old World touches make Casa Barcelona stand out in its Founder’s section location. Set between the blue waters of the Sea of Cortez, and the exceptional Loreto Bay Golf Course, this two-bedroom home is exotic as well as welcoming
The main floor is entered through large antique doors off of the cobblestone walkway. Here you find the lower courtyard, an ideal space to enjoy the home. A long table is perfect for gatherings. At its end is a BBQ grill. Double doors lead inside, and a tiled staircase takes you to the upper terrace.
The main floor living space has a sofa seating area and television entertainment center. The decor is rustic and very Mexican traditional. Little touches of local crafts are found throughout. A glass dining table is here as well.
The kitchen sits under an arched entry. There a new stainless steel appliances, and all needed small appliances (coffee maker, knife set, etc.). Mexican tile covers the counters, and there are bar stools for casual entertaining. The cabinets are lovely, hand made from local hardwood, including Saguaro rib details.
The downstairs bedroom is done up in warm yellow, with Mexican tile floors, and blankets for the 2 double beds found here. The downstairs bathroom continues the use of tile in its double vanity sink, shower stall, and raised garden tub.
Upstairs, the terrace is inviting with its twin chaise lounges and dining table to enjoy the day in this beautiful home.
Loreto Bay is very scenic. You will appreciate the rooftop terrace/lounge area with its inset seating along the walls, and the beautiful, colorful neighborhood laid out below you.
Found on an exquisitely wild stretch of Mexico’s famed Baja Coast, Loreto Bay is an outstanding example of combining traditional aesthetics with modern quality, design, and construction.
