Middle Tennessee

While it may sound cliché, Middle Tennessee truly has something for everyone! The rolling hills outside of Nashville offer trails, Civil War sites, and quaint towns like Franklin and Leipers Fork. Here, Antebellum homes, boutiques, art galleries, and top-tier restaurants await your discovery.

History buffs will appreciate Middle Tennessee's pivotal role in the Civil War. Explore well-preserved sites like Carnton Plantation and Carter House in Franklin, and Stones River National Battlefield in Murfreesboro. Even Downtown Nashville has fascinating historic landmarks, such as the full-scale Parthenon replica in Centennial Park. This landmark, along with its various universities, has earned Nashville the moniker "Athens of the South."

Speaking of nicknames, the city is also nicknamed "NashVegas" for its electric, eclectic neon energy, popular with bachelor and bachelorette parties and pro sports fans. Nearby Music Row and venues like the Ryman Auditorium attract millions of fans annually, especially during the Country Music Association (CMA) Fest in June! Such festivals and notoriety have given the city another nickname: Music City.

Aside from landmarks and activities, Middle Tennessee is also home to a variety of dining options. From iconic Nashville hot chicken to slow-smoked Tennessee BBQ, classic Southern meat-and-three diners, and farm-to-table artisan fare, there's a meal for every palate and budget.

Whether exploring historic sites, cruising clubs on Broadway, enjoying a pro sporting event, or relaxing far from downtown, Middle Tennessee delivers an experientially rewarding vacation.
