About

etch is a globally-inspired restaurant founded by award-winning Chef Deb Paquette, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America.

As Tennessee's first certified female executive chef, Chef Paquette created a menu reflecting her passion for bold, international flavors. She opened etch in downtown Nashville in 2012, becoming an overnight epicurean hotspot.

As part of 4Top Hospitality, etch joins an exclusive family of Music City restaurants. These include Jasper's in West End, featuring elevated bar food, and Deb's other flagship eatery, etc., in the Green Hills neighborhood.

In 2024, etch expanded to The Factory at Franklin, offering the same innovative dining experience in this charming city. While both feature similar menus and layouts, we'll focus on the spot downtown.

The restaurant's open-kitchen setting and menu inspired by Chef Deb's favorite regions around the world make for an elevated dining experience. Complementing the food is an extensive wine list with over 80 selections, high-gravity local beers, and handcrafted signature cocktails. Desserts, crafted by Pastry Chef Megan Williams, are a highlight, with seasonal creations that keep diners coming back for more.

The restaurant is next door to the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum and caddy-corner to Bridgestone Arena. Within walking distance is the pedestrian bridge over the Cumberland River, connecting downtown with Nissan Stadium. Such proximity makes it ideal for lunch or dinner before or after a concert, sporting event, or a day of sightseeing.

When your Nashville vacation needs exceptional cuisine, add etch to your to-do list.

Vibe

The exterior is sleek and modern, blending seamlessly with downtown's eclectic vibe. Its clean lines and understated signage are inviting and approachable.

The interior is a mix of contemporary elegance and artistic flair. Neutral tones are accented with bold pops of color, while unique light fixtures and modern art pieces create a visually engaging environment.

The restaurant features multiple dining areas, including a chef's bar with a direct view of the kitchen and traditional table seating. The private dining area is perfect for bachelorette or bachelor weekend celebrations or business meetings.

No matter where you sit, the layout ensures you'll feel comfortable, whether for a romantic dinner or a celebratory meal.

At etch, you'll discover the perfect blend of sophistication and Southern hospitality in the heart of Music City.

etch: Menu & Drinks

With lunch and dinner menus that rotate with the seasons, along with the creative spirit of Chef Deb, we'd be hard-pressed to list all of her crowning achievements. Instead, we'll highlight standouts to whet your appetite.

One lunch appetizer that has received rave reviews is the Tempura Mushrooms, a crispy and flavorful dish with Korean hot chili mayo and ponzu sauce.

While the lunch menu features gourmet sandwiches, salads, and entrées, the dinner menu offers a more refined experience.

Come dinnertime, Chef Deb flexes her culinary muscles and pays tribute to Southern fare with the venison entrée. The tender, sliced meat comes with chickpea feta filo clutch, olive tapenade, walnut mint relish, duck fat pearl onions, seared okra, walnut muhammara, apricot chutney, and harissa cranberries. The plate is visually stunning, while the textures and diverse flavors will have your palate dancing.

Another must-try is the filet mignon, a tender, expertly cooked steak with parmesan-lemon whipped potatoes, smoked bone marrow butter, sherry gravy, asparagus, herb relish, and golden beet romesco.

Be sure to save room for Pastry Chef Megan Williams's desserts. From her homemade ice cream and sorbet, to chocolate mousse bar and an over-the-top sundae, there's something for every sweet tooth!

Naturally, the drink menu keeps pace with the cuisine's excellence. A lively yet refreshing libation is Fire in the Cucumber Patch. This beverage showcases Ford's gin, fresh cucumber, lime, agave, and jalapeno for a spicy kick.

You'll also find an impressive list of wines and beers, ensuring something for every budget and palate.

Visiting etch on your Music City getaway offers a unique dining experience that will leave a lasting impression.
