Anna Maria Island

Discover the tranquil charm of Anna Maria Island, a breathtaking Gulf Coast destination conveniently situated near Tampa Bay, Clearwater, and St. Petersburg. Made up of three friendly towns: Anna Maria, Holmes Beach, and Bradenton Beach, AMI (as it is widely known) is an ideal destination for families, couples, singles, and groups.

Anna Maria Island offers a relaxed atmosphere free from high-rises and crowded tourist attractions, inviting visitors to slow down and savor spectacular sunsets, fresh coastal cuisine, and endless outdoor adventures. Picture calm turquoise water, old Florida cottages, and palm-lined streets without the high-rise crowds you'll find elsewhere.

Landmarks like the historic 1911 City Pier appeal to anglers and those seeking a front row seat for a dazzling sunset. Additionally, the city's building height limit keeps the skyline low and charming, giving it a small-town feel. Such regulations result from decades of work by locals to protect their character and landmarks.

People visit AMI for the slow rhythm, the wide, soft beaches, and dolphins that frequent the tepid waters. Remote workers also enjoy the quietude and beauty of this oceanfront destination. While lively art walks, holiday boat parades, and AMI’s annual Bayfest celebration draw crowds, the island moves at a smooth, welcoming pace.

Dotting the island are restaurants showcasing fresh cuisine in casual waterfront grills, serving grouper sandwiches, fresh oysters, and homemade key lime pie. If you enjoy outdoor activities, the island offers opportunities to kayak through the mangroves, fish the flats, bike quaint streets, or paddleboard at sunrise.

Whether you want a quiet beach week or an active Gulf Coast adventure, Anna Maria Island delivers a relaxed escape that feels like a world away.
