About

Like the sage plant that thrives in Tahoe summers and winters, Sage Leaf Tahoe has weathered the years to be a vital and tantalizing restaurant.

Owners Shane and Lara met while working at a fine dining restaurant in Napa Valley and moved to the Tahoe area in 2011. They put down roots and combined their experience working in the Napa area by opening Sage Leaf Tahoe.

Their vision was to create a restaurant serving top-notch food and wine where people could relax like family.

Furthermore, the couple uses only locally, sustainably, and humanely raised products. They also work closely with family-owned farms and sustainable agriculture at Tahoe Food Hub and Niman Ranch.

Sage Leaf Tahoe is unique as a fine dining establishment because it also serves breakfast and lunch, which are favorites for many.

When visiting North Lake Tahoe and craving a hearty breakfast, a light lunch, or a sumptuous dinner, Sage Leaf Tahoe will not disappoint. Perfect for families, business meetings, or that special night out at Lake Tahoe.

Vibe

When you first arrive at Sage Leaf Tahoe, its blend of rustic charm and modern elegance beckons. With distinct architectural lines and angles, the restaurant blends naturally with Tahoe's lush surroundings.

The outdoor patio has lights from the trellis and heaters for when al fresco dining is chilly.

The interior embodies a sophisticated design where contemporary meets natural. The restaurant beautifully balances the raw and refined with its open concept, polished concrete floors, and natural timber accents.

High ceilings and expansive windows allow natural light to flood the space, further enhancing the overall ambiance.

The seating arrangement is thoughtfully laid out to create intimate corners and communal areas. Attention to detail is everywhere, from the artistically presented dishes to the meticulously curated wine list.

Sage Leaf Tahoe exudes an ambiance of relaxed luxury, and the friendly, attentive staff treat you like a dear friend.

Sage Leaf Tahoe: Menu & Drinks

Sage Leaf Tahoe has so many menu options that it's best to select choice selections from breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Start your morning off right with the Tahoe Blue French Toast. This melt-in-your-mouth feast uses sourdough bread, warm blueberry compote, raspberry coulis, Meyer lemon, and ricotta. Next, toasted almonds and pure Vermont maple syrup cap off this breakfast triumph.

For lunch, one standout is the Monte Cristo. The sandwich showcases Niman Ranch ham, french toast sourdough bread, swiss cheese, seasonal jam, and Dijon mustard. A side salad comes as a side.

Dinner has some traditional fare, but when you want to try something unique, order the Tamarind Glazed Wild Alaskan Halibut. This seafood wonder comes with organic quinoa, sauteed asparagus & red onion, roasted cherry tomatoes, and green curry coconut milk sauce.

Safe Leaf Tahoe has an impressive beer and wine selection and signature craft cocktails. A notable choice is the Blueberry Mule, made with 72-mile vodka, blueberry shrub, ginger beer, and lime.

You can't go wrong with the Melted Snowman when a hot cocktail is in order. This scrumptious drink features Rumple Minze schnapps, Godiva chocolate liqueur, hot chocolate, whipped cream, and peppermint.
