About

Experts agree: the most important meal of the day is breakfast. This is especially true if you're in North Lake Tahoe to mountain bike, ski, hike, or explore.

But who wants to wait in lines or sit down to order? The answer is Pep's Place, which serves healthy, organic, and locally sourced food for those on the go!

The name "Pep's Place" is tied to its founder and owner, Joseph Peterson, known as "Pep" by friends and family.

Pep's passion for culinary excellence and his love for Lake Tahoe and the local community led him to establish the restaurant in 1989.

Naming the restaurant after himself was heartfelt and reflected his commitment to providing a warm and welcoming dining experience for all who visit.

Over the years, Pep's Place has become a culinary destination for locals and vacationers. They know a wholesome made-to-order meal awaits and will fuel them for a fun-filled day in the North Lake Tahoe area.

Vibe

The facade of Pep's Place is a charming blend of rustic elegance with earth-tone colors that blend with Lake Tahoe's vibrant surroundings. Inside, large windows frame stunning views of the area, providing an ever-changing backdrop that's breathtaking.

The interior is well-lit with wooden floors and a light color scheme reminiscent of Scandinavian decors.

Countertops run the length of the windows where patrons can sip coffee or munch on their breakfast or lunch.

The counter is where you order; its clean lines and organized layout are the keys to swift and efficient service.

The ambiance at Pep's Place is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot to hang with family and friends.

Pep's Place: Menu & Drinks

Since breakfast is the most important meal, we'll begin with a crowd-pleasure, the burrito! Stuffed inside a flour tortilla are scrambled eggs, quinoa, black beans, white cheddar, salsa, and a choice of bacon or sausage. Grab this bad boy for a stick-to-your-ribs meal to get your day off on the right foot!

Looking for something healthier? Try the Acai Bowl with pureed acai, Greek yogurt, granola, honey, and sliced bananas. Wholesome goodness in a bowl!

When it's time for lunch, sink your teeth into their version of the Reuben, the Pastrami Rachel. Sandwiched between toasted rye bread are pastrami, sauerkraut, provolone cheese and thousand-island dressing.

Pep's Place also has various salads, and there's even a Kids Menu.

For that morning cup of Joe, Pep's Place serves locally sourced products like Blind Dog Coffee and Tahoe Teas. Baristas can fashion everything from lattes to chai lattes.

When you need a cold beer, Pep's Place offers canned craft beers by the six-pack or individually. They offer some wine choices, too.

Pep's Place is your go-to stop on the way to the slopes or the lakes for hearty, quick meals that are equally healthy.
