Welcome to

St. Charles Bay

Picture calm Gulf water, marsh grass dancing in the breeze, and herons wading in the shallows at sunrise, and you’ve discovered St. Charles Bay. Set on the Texas Coastal Bend near Goose Island State Park and Aransas National Wildlife Refuge, it offers a beautiful and unique natural backdrop. Here, life slows down, the fishing heats up, and families enjoy quality time together.

People make their way to St. Charles Bay for the water rich with redfish, black drum, and speckled trout that keep anglers busy year-round, while birdwatchers flock to see the famous whooping cranes that winter nearby. The refuge protects one of the last natural homes for these rare birds, and spotting them is a highlight of any trip.

History buffs will find plenty to explore in and around St. Charles Bay since nearby Fulton and Rockport grew from 19th-century cattle and fishing industries. Case in point is the historic Fulton Mansion, which offers a window into that era. Coastal traditions are woven deep into the community, handed down through generations of families who make their living on the bay.

Local events give visitors plenty to enjoy, like the Rockport-Fulton Oysterfest each spring, and the Rockport Film Festival and HummerBird Celebration every fall. No matter when you visit, you’ll always find something happening near the water!

When you’re ready to trade city traffic for Gulf tides, book your St. Charles Bay stay with Casago Third Coast. Kick back in a vacation rental that feels like your own, and enjoy a slice of coastal living.

Locally Rooted. Elevated Hospitality.

St. Charles Bay sits on a protected inlet just north of Rockport and Fulton along the Texas Coastal Bend. This peaceful area attracts anglers, birdwatchers, and families looking to relax and slow down. With plenty of sea life, coastal marshes, and easy access to the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge, it’s a perfect spot for anyone who loves the outdoors.

Our Casago Third Coast team is intrinsically connected with the Texas Coast. This family-owned vacation company, led by Gemma, James, and Nick, has built hospitality businesses focused on caring for homes well, supporting owners with transparency, and creating stays that guests remember. We know and embrace the peaceful nature of this long narrow stretch just off Aransas Bay, knowing that guests will come away with unforgettable memories.

Gemma and James are a British-Texan couple raising four kids. They own vacation homes themselves, including one further north up the coast in Galveston, meaning they know this coast as homeowners, not just managers.

Nick, also a Texan and dad of three, has worked alongside James for more than ten years. Their approach stays local, personal, and accountable, with genuine hospitality for guests and homeowners alike.

Whether you’re staying with us or trusting us with your home, our goal at Casago Third Coast is simple: To deliver an experience that feels thoughtful, personal, and truly elevated.
