Silver Sage Sanctuary

House was big enough with enough beds for everyone. Very well stocked and the games in the basement were a great way to kill a little time.

Place was very comfortable and accommodations were amazing great arcade room. Had everything we need to have a great stay on our yearly family ski trip. Definitely would rent again. Lots of kids toys, stroller. Baby gate puzzles cards etc.

We love staying at Granby. This is our third or fourth house that we’ve VRBO.. It’s a large house five bedrooms three bath if I remember correctly. Well stocked kitchen. Nice dining room and living room to seat a lot of people. Love the back deck. Saw some deer walk in the backyard. Would recommend this house for large groups. Although it was just my husband and myself in this large house, our granddaughter and two of her friends came to enjoy it with us. Also a washer and dryer if you’re on a long vacation so you can pack lighter. Do you have children? There’s a couple games in the basement with also a large seating area and TV.. oh yes, there was a TV in every room.

Overall we had a fabulous stay. We traveled with our 4 kids, so the game room and toys were a major plus for them. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs and 2 downstairs, which allows for large groups to spread out. 3 bathrooms also helps ensure there is always an open bathroom. There is also a hot tub that was a great addition to our stay. The WiFi worked great which allowed my husband to work from home during our stay. The washer was not working on arrival, but the property manager notified us prior to arrival and a repair person was out to fix it within 24 hrs, so we were not left without a washer. This home is in a great location with fabulous views of the mountains. It is on a quiet cul-de-sac. It is about 5 min away from Granby Ranch and City Market. About 15 ish min to Lake Granby and 30-35 min to RMNP entrance. YMCA of the Rockies is also only a 12 minute drive. Our only negative (which I didn’t realize when booking) is that this is a pet friendly lodging and the carpets smell of dog urine. This probably isn’t an issue for most people, but we don’t have indoor pets so the smell was quite noticeable for us and makes the home feel not quite as *clean* as it could if it had hard flooring throughout. Overall, I would recommend this home to others as it checked all of our boxes and we had a great stay.

This property is spacious and accommodating for big groups with or without kiddos! We had kiddos from age 1 -11 and they LOVED the space downstairs to play and watch movies! The adults loved the space upstairs to play cards and games at the huge table!! The kitchen was great to cook for all of us with a ton of counter space and room for several of us to be in the kitchen at once preparing meals! The deck and hot tub were amazing places to relax after hiking and fishing all day! The host was very responsive and quick to answer questions! We will definitely stay here again!

Pros: Spacious house, large deck, fireplace, private, good communication, good views from the deck, close to the grocery store, liquor store and gas station, close to the Rockies. Cons: Both propane tank had low fuel - had to request for one and had to purchase another. Washer and dryer old and struggle to function - dryer didnt push hot air, washer wouldnt drain properly. Overall experience was positive.
