About

"Off the beaten path" describes Cosmo's Restaurant & Bar, but the eatery is far from ordinary.

Brian and Jodi Harsany, the owners of Cobalt, The Restaurant, established Cosmos in the mid-2000s to create a dining experience that captured the relaxed yet vibrant essence of the Gulf Coast.

The restaurant is named after its original canine companion, Cosmo, known for its welcoming spirit—a trait that the establishment has embodied in its approach to hospitality.

And while the ambiance is laidback, the menu is an eclectic mix of pasta, hand-cut steaks, and its famous banana-leaf-wrapped fish.

Supporting local purveyors is more than a slogan for Cosmo's Restaurant & Bar. It's a practice that ensures the seafood is as fresh as the ocean breeze and ingredients are as local as the friendly faces around town.

Cosmo's goes above and beyond to source the finest in-season fruits and vegetables from nearby farms, promoting sustainability and a farm-to-table experience.

The commitment to providing a dynamic dining experience extends to their continual menu evolution and a dedication to craft cocktails that showcase local spirits and Southern flair.

While Cosmo's Restaurant & Bar may be off the beaten path, it's well worth visiting.

Vibe

Cosmo's Restaurant & Bar exterior, with its vibrant paintwork and rustic signage, sets the tone for an upbeat and unpretentious dining experience. The interior decor mirrors the essence of the ocean with a playful yet sophisticated palette, wood accents, and eclectic art that sparks conversation.

Cosmo's Restaurant & Bar prides itself on creating a setting that's as lively and colorful as the dishes they serve. The curated background music ebbs and flows like the nearby waves, ensuring that the ambiance hits the right note for a romantic dinner or a spirited gathering with friends.

The inviting dining area is designed to make diners feel at home, encouraging them to savor their meals without the rush. The venue captures the laid-back luxury of Gulf Shores, where every visitor is treated to a casual yet refined experience.

Cosmo's Restaurant & Bar: Menu & Drinks

The Cosmo's Restaurant & Bar menu offers vibrant dishes that impress the palate and eyes. Patrons consistently acclaim the innovative Southern fusion cuisine, where every bite tells a story of the Gulf Shore's rich culinary heritage.

The Banana Leaf Wrapped Sea Bass, a signature entrée, has become a legend in its own right. Expertly paired with coconut rice and a special house-made sauce, this dish encapsulates freshness with its locally sourced catch enveloped in aromatic banana leaves to seal in the juices and flavors. See why this entree is hailed as one of "100 Things to Eat in Alabama Before You Die."

Another crowd-pleaser, especially for pasta lovers, is the delectable Seafood Pasta. This scrumptious meal showcases tender bay shrimp, Blue crab meat, sweet green peas, broccoli florets, and sun-dried tomatoes. It is tossed with pappardelle pasta in chardonnay cream sauce and topped with Parmesan cheese.

The Ribeye will please any meat lover. This entree features a hand-cut, well-marbled Certified Angus Beef Ribeye served with crushed Yukon gold potatoes, ginger greens, and topped with fried onion straws.

Complementing the food is an outstanding array of craft cocktails, where tradition is stirred with a twist. The Cosmo is popular, with house-infused Citrus Vodka, triple sec, Gran Gala, cranberry, and fresh lime.

For a unique margarita, The Orange Beach Grand Margarita will satisfy you. This craft cocktail showcases Lunazul Tequila, triple sec, Gran Gala, fresh lemon and lime juice, and house-crafted orange zest sea salt. Make it spicy with 21 Seeds Cucumber and Jalapeno Tequila. Try a Skinny Margarita with Dulce Vida Lime Tequila.

Cosmo's Restaurant & Bar is not merely a place to dine; it's a culinary journey through Gulf Shores, Alabama. Each course is a beacon of local excellence, where flavors are as colorful as a Gulf sunset.
