About

The most wonderful time of the year is even more wonderful with a trip to Moody Gardens' Holiday in the Gardens event. This seasonal event typically takes place from late November to early January. Plenty of activities and attractions are available with the purchase of your ticket. In addition, they offer other activities available to you for a small fee within the gardens.

Aside from their seasonal holiday events, the Moody Gardens exhibits are a must visit during the day! Featuring three unique and educational pyramid structures - Rainforest, Aquarium, and Discovery. These interactive displays offer all day fun for both children and adults. Within the rainforest pyramid, you'll get an up-close and personal experience with bats, tropical birds, and even sloths. In the aquarium pyramid, experience a jellyfish exhibit, seals, and emperor penguins. Lastly, in the discovery pyramid, there is currently a music exhibit where you can play with all types of instruments - old and new. You will learn all about sound and how to create it.

Festival of Lights

The Festival of Lights is a one-mile trail within the gardens with over a million lights on display! You'll be guided through the property with views of Galveston Bay by your side. There are all sorts of light exhibits throughout this experience. Keep in mind, they may change the displays every year!

One of the best parts about this festival takes place across from the main cafe inside the gardens. Thousands of lights come together and dance to the beat of Christmas classics. Picture the fountains at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. They Christmas lights dance similarly.
