About
During my visit to Fort Lauderdale, I experience one of the best things to do in the area—the Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale. Nestled in the heart of downtown, this enchanting locale comprises the Riverwalk Linear Park and the Downtown Riverwalk District, housing a stunning total of 10 lush parks.
Bursting with tropical waterfront beauty, lush trees, and its seamless blend with the urban backdrop, Riverwalk sets the stage for socializing, attending events, or simply unwinding beneath the shade of a welcoming tree.
But wait, here's the cherry on top: experiencing the Riverwalk is absolutely free of charge!
Visitors can park along the route and leisurely explore the area at their own pace. Stroll by the serene banks of the New River, delve into numerous art galleries and shops, and indulge in a delicious meal at the assortment of eateries. The Riverwalk is also home to some captivating museums and tourist hotspots, perfect for snagging unique souvenirs.
From my very first visit to Fort Lauderdale, the Riverwalk captured my heart and has held onto that special place with every subsequent visit.
There's always something captivating happening here—whether it's an artisan market or a farmer's market, live music, or simply the evolving array of charming shops, many of which are locally owned gems rather than generic chain stores.
Prepare to be awestruck, as the Riverwalk hosts a vibrant array of events too, including the renowned Boat Show, the exciting Riverwalk Burger Battle, the lively Riverwalk Get Downtown, and a plethora of others.
During my time there, I was fortunate enough to attend an artisan market that was an absolute treasure trove of unique finds, including exquisite pottery and other delightful discoveries.
