Ann's Florist & Coffee Bar

During my exploration of Fort Lauderdale, I stumbled upon a charming spot called Ann's Florist and Coffee Bar. The establishment is a delightful blend of a full-fledged flower shop filled with adorable items and a coffee house and wine bar—a pleasant surprise indeed!

I had a chat with the welcoming lady at the counter who shared that the store has been there since the 1970s and remains under local family ownership. I learned that what started as a floral shop has now expanded to include delectable food offerings.

Initially, the combination of a florist and a coffee bar appeared quite unusual to me, but the unique concept turned out to be very appealing. And the warmth and friendliness of the staff were truly commendable. 

They have a cozy seating area where you can savor your ordered treats either indoors or on their patio. And occasionally, they also host live music which adds to the overall charm of this sweet place.

This cool coffee bar proved to be a perfect spot for both a meal and some shopping. It was definitely a delight to find a place where I could unwind after a day of walking around without having to commit to a formal dining experience or navigate through a typical bar scene.

Vibe

Its exterior exudes a bright and airy ambiance that immediately puts you at ease. The moment you step inside, you're transported to a fun, almost tropical paradise. The tastefully decorated interior is a delightful blend of modern aesthetics and vibrant florals that create an environment as refreshing as it is captivating.

The bar area at Ann's is a stunning showcase of modern beauty, seamlessly fitting into the overall decor. But it's the energy of the place that truly draws you in. The café section buzzes with a healthy, fun vibe that perfectly complements the beautiful array of flowers. 

The fusion of a traditional florist shop with a modern café gives Ann's Florist and Coffee Bar an unmatched charm, making it a must-visit spot during your Fort Lauderdale vacation.

Ann's Florist and Coffee Bar: Menu & Drinks

The café offers a diverse selection of coffee, but since I was on vacation, I decided to indulge in a cocktail. On a recommendation, I chose "The Pink Pamplemousse." 

This cocktail was an absolute delight, with its fizzy feel and tart flavor. Made with Tito's Handmade Vodka and Fever Tree Sparkling Pink, it was nicely balanced with grapefruit and lemon. Contrary to my initial expectation of a sweeter taste, the tartness was a pleasant surprise, making it a perfect choice for a hot summer afternoon.

To my surprise, the food options at Ann's went beyond the usual bakery fare. They had an impressive menu featuring empanadas, quiche, and frittata, which I made a note to try during a morning visit. 

I settled on the Chicken Salad on Wheat for my afternoon meal. It was a hearty sandwich packed with fresh ingredients. The chicken was exceptionally moist, adding to the overall enjoyment of the meal. The cool temperature of the sandwich was a welcome respite from the heat outside.

Before leaving, I couldn't resist the temptation of their dessert offerings. An Apple Tart caught my eye, and I decided to take it home for an evening treat, though the truffles were a close second. The tart turned out to be a fantastic choice. It was sweet, nicely spiced, and the perfect way to end a delightful visit to Ann's Florist and Coffee Bar.

Overall, Ann's Florist and Coffee Bar offered a memorable culinary experience. The combination of refreshing drinks, a varied food menu, and delectable desserts, all served in a beautiful setting, made it a standout destination in Fort Lauderdale.
