Mexico 1 or the Transpeninsular Highway begins in Tijuana. The trip takes 20 hours, but the beautiful natural sights along the way make the drive worth it. Be aware that the highway twists and turns through the desert, and be sure that you carry enough water, food, and a spare tire for the journey.
