About St. Croix Island

Meet Robin Bass

Our splash into the Caribbean began with Robin Bass, our new franchise owner in St. Croix, VI. Robin has always had an ambitious spirit. She grew within the hospitality, tour and travel industries in New York, and is the founder of The Hospitality Liaison LLC, a service providing visitors unique experiences of New York City. 

Robin is a graduate of Johnson and Wales University in Providence, RI where she enjoyed time as a Tour Guide for the University, all while achieving further degrees in Fashion Merchandising, Retail Marketing Management and studying overseas at The Paris Fashion Institute.

Today, Robin is a property management and vacation rentals expert, and we are happy to welcome her and our latest destination, St. Croix, to the Casago team. 

Interview with Robin Bass, Owner of Casago St. Croix

Casago: What attracted you to the vacation rental industry?

My diverse career history gave me the building blocks I needed for my future. I moved to St. Croix, got involved in real estate, and the opportunity of property management came upon me. Due to my hospitality, tour and travel background it was such a natural transition and I instantly saw the opportunity and growth of this industry. My personality, work ethic and customer service skills are perfect for the vacation rental industry! 

 

Casago: Tell us about your vacation rental business before you decided to join Casago.

My business has been growing quickly, I wear many hats and have been able to grow in a financially responsible way. But with the fast growth, I was feeling overwhelmed, needing help and support. Thank goodness, Ryan contacted me with the solution of Casago, to assist in growth, support and more improved, efficient software, Streamline.

 

Casago: Why did you decide to join forces with Casago?

First – I loved the weekly zoom calls with the Team/Family of Casago! I was honestly impressed with the energy, the professionalism and overall fun, people actually enjoyed being on the call! Second – the software! I am more than excited for the opportunities to be more efficient with reporting to my owners, among other things! Third – Networking/Support – the opportunity to network with fellow property managers and owners throughout the US, and to have the support from like-minded individuals. Let’s be honest, this is an industry that is fabulous, but we do need a self-help group at times. 🙂 

 

Casago: Tell us a little about your involvement in your community.

I have always found time to be involved in the community. In New York I was a New York Cares Volunteer, volunteering with everything from delivering meals on wheels to recording books for the blind and dyslexic. In St. Croix, I am proud to be on the Board of The Animal Welfare Center of St. Croix. My household is officially a “Shelter Family” with Sophia, adopted by a shelter in Orlando 16 years ago, and Scrooby, my Cruzan mix dog from the St. Croix shelter, who is now a healthy 82 pounds. 

 

Casago: Do you have a quote that inspires you?

Yes, I have two quotes. “Great Minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events, small discuss people” by Eleanor Roosevelt, and “I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles”, by Audrey Hepburn.
