The Friedman Memorial Airport (SUN) in Hailey, Idaho is located about 13 miles South of Sun Valley. There are daily non-stop flights from many major airport hubs including Los Angeles, Seattle, Denver, Salt Lake City, Chicago, and San Francisco. The airlines servicing this region are Delta, Alaska, and United.

If you prefer to reach Sun Valley road-trip style, fly into Boise and rent a car instead. From there, it’s about a 2 ½ hour drive to Ketchum.

Many recommend skipping out on renting a car here because most shops, restaurants, and activities are close-by. In addition, there are free bus services via Mountain Ride shuttles. So, whether you plan to fly in or drive in, you’ll have a pretty smooth travel experience.
