About

Mariscos Los Arbolitos de Cajeme is a must for any seafood fan on a San Carlos vacation.

The restaurant started out in Ciudad Obregón in 1987 and has been a real fixture in the Sonora scene ever since, renowned for its fresh seafood (served in huge portions) and the sheer amount of fun they go to in their service. It's expanded to several locations over the years and has brought its style and family recipes to many more people.

San Carlos continues the tradition with the same flavors and the same spirit as the original. They're very much in the business of using local seafood and making dishes that are both classic and original. If you're into ceviche, aguachile, or grilled fish, you'll find it all here in the form of some really good, satisfying food that really does celebrate the Sea of Cortez.

Vibe

Mariscos Los Arbolitos in Cajeme is all about bright colors, a very festive atmosphere, and the 'come as you are' attitude. The outside is a riot of green and white with palm trees and loads of signage promising good times inside. Once you get in, you're in a large air-conditioned dining room with tables for families, big groups, or just a casual lunch. There's a lot of chatter and laughter, and the staff is quick to come over, say hello, and make recommendations. Outdoor seating is generally available if you want to be out in the fresh air and have a cold one.

The excellent service and homey vibe make this restaurant a standout in San Carlos.

Mariscos Los Arbolitos de Cajeme: Menu & Drinks

The menu is all about Sonoran seafood. The Torre Imperial is a real showstopper, a towering stack of shrimp, octopus, scallops, and avocado, all generously drizzled with the house sauces. The aguachile verde is another one of the standouts, with big, juicy shrimp in a lime and serrano chile marinade. The tacos gobernador are a classic, grilled tortillas with shrimp, cheese, and sautéed vegetables. If you like big flavors, then you'll love them.

Don't miss the house ceviche (served with crispy tostadas and loads of citrus and fresh herbs). For a drink, go for a michelada or one of the fresh fruit aguas frescas, which are great for cooling down after a day in the sun. The desserts are simple but good, with flan and pastel de elote (sweet corn cake) being a local favorite.

Dining at Mariscos Los Arbolitos de Cajeme is more than just the food. It's about the chat, sharing plates with friends or family, and the general buzz of it all. From the first bite to the last, you'll see why it's a favorite with locals and visitors alike.
