About

The Mirador area spans about 1 ½ miles parallel to the Sea of Cortez on the south and Blvd Freemont on the north. For a long time, it's been one of the most popular areas to go to as this is where some of the original beach bars are.

What's near Playa Mirador?

Here you will find Manny’s Beach Club, Baja Cantina, Pitaya, the Pink Cadillac and Jill’s Joint. They're popular hangouts for Spring Breakers as they can sit at a real beach bar and enjoy some good music. All of the bars also serve food for your enjoyment. There is Bingo a couple of days a week at Manny’s and Pitaya, cards and pool tourneys at Jill’s and darts at the Pink Cadillac. In addition, Manny's even offers yoga classes twice a week.

The beach is dotted with condos from Manny’s to the Pitaya and also includes 2 RV parks. There are a lot of Americans living in the Mirador area in apartments, homes, Playa del Oro and the condos.

What's the beach like?

The beach in the Mirador is more rocky than farther down in the Las Conchas area, but it's a great place to go snorkeling. If you own a small fishing boat, you can launch it from Playa del Oro.

What makes this beach popular despite the rockiness is its proximity to downtown! It's very walkable so it makes for a very convenient place to stay in.

The Mirador area is also home to the popular Capone's Pizza, the American Legion post and Reggie’s 8/12, which is a convenience market that carries a lot of American products as well as doughnuts made fresh daily and 3 different breakfast burritos.

There are 4 hotels in the Mirador area and one of them is right on the beach next to Playa del Oro RV park. Baja Cantina has a hotel and there is another one next to it and the 4th one is next to Capone’s.

Coming soon to the Mirador area is an adults only, luxury boutique hotel called The Cove at Whale Hill. They are located on Calle Plan de Ayutta and Baja California #92. If you are looking for tranquility, this is the place for you.  Although not directly on the beach, you can enjoy drinks and snacks poolside.
