Location & Environment
La Negrita is right when you come into town, as terms of location. Though not in the Malecon where many popular restaurants are found, it's so worth the visit. Many locals and tourists have claimed La Negrita as their favorite restaurant in all of Rocky Point and have eagerly followed them to their new location.
La Negrita is located once again in their original location on Calle Comonfort between Cuauhtemoc and Ave. Juan de la Barrera. The easiest way to find them is to turn off Blvd. Juarez at the same corner as the CFE (Federal Electricity Commission). The cozy space is great for intimate dinners to welcoming large groups. There is an indoor area for keeping cool when the outside patio gets to warm.
The service here is top-tier - the team is friendly, accommodating, and always smiling!
Must Try Food at La Negrita
This restaurant is famous for their incredible seafood dishes! If you're a seafood lover, you will definitely be visiting here more than once. Further, this is a vegan-friendly restaurant. La Negrita has breakfast, lunch, and dinner options that can accommodate a vegan diet.
Here's what you should try:
Seafood Bar
Listed on the menu as "Barra de Mariscos," this translates to Seafood Bar in English. These large square plates offer the opportunity to have a little taste of everything in a "ceviche" style. Ignite your taste buds with the Campechana Seca - a combination of shrimp, octopus (pulpo), prawns,
Volcanes
Not only is this one of the best things you'll eat in Rocky Point, but it's also one of the most photogenic! These arrive steaming out of a volcanic rock bowl. Choose from vegan, shrimp, chicken, and more. We highly recommend going with the 7 mares which offers the most extensive mixture of seafood out of all the volcanes.
Mexican Favorites
Though seafood is their claim to fame, they also have tasty favorites for non-seafood fans. Choose from a wide selection of dishes including quesadillas, chichangas, flautas, sopas, huaraches, and more! They even have hamburgers and pizzas.
Desayuno (Breakfast)
Visit during breakfast time for an expansive offering of classic Mexican breakfast foods including huevos rancheros, chilaquiles, and enchiladas. Alternatively, try their omelettes or pancakes!
