There are no stairs to climb and no elevator to wait for. You park, walk in, and drop the beach bags. Out back, a covered patio with blue Adirondack chairs faces open grass and sky, a hammock strung between the palms, and the community boardwalk to the sand starts a short walk from your door. Inside, the condo keeps things bright and easy. The living room, breakfast bar, and kitchen share one open space under a ceiling fan, so whoever is cooking stays in the conversation. Coastal art, a surfboard by the door, and a Love Shack sign set the tone. The two bedrooms sit at opposite ends of the condo with a full bathroom each, and a stacked washer and dryer in the hall means the sand comes out of everything before dinner. Island Retreat handles the rest of the day. Spend the morning on the beach, the afternoon at the community pool, and the evening at a covered BBQ pavilion with the string lights on. Tennis, pickleball, sand volleyball, and a basketball court all sit a short stroll across the grounds, and golf carts are welcome, which is how most of Port Aransas gets around. The second bedroom has a full bed, a ceiling fan, and a window that catches the morning light. It opens directly onto one of the two full bathrooms, which makes it the easy pick for whoever is up first. Bathrooms The Love Shack has two full bathrooms, so nobody waits in line after a beach day. One pairs a granite vanity with a tub and shower, good for rinsing sandy kids. The other has a wood vanity, a wide framed mirror, and its own tub and shower. Fresh towels and starter bath amenities are provided. Living Areas The living room is where the condo spends most of its time. A sofa and two armchairs face the TV, the ceiling fan turns overhead, and the windows pull in island light all afternoon. Because the space opens straight into the dining bar and kitchen, the group stays together whether you are watching a movie, playing cards, or just tracking down sunscreen before heading out. Kitchen & Dining The full kitchen has everything you need to skip a few restaurant meals, with a dishwasher, oven, stove, microwave, coffee maker, and plenty of counter space. The breakfast bar seats the group on one side while the cook works on the other, which is exactly how a beach condo should run. Cookware, dishes, silverware, and wine glasses are stocked. Patio & Hammock The covered patio is the reason to book this particular unit. Being on the ground floor means you step straight out onto it, with blue Adirondack chairs lined up under the roof and a hammock strung out on the lawn in front. The view is open grass, palms, and the dune line, and the breeze comes through all day. It is the place for early coffee, a cold drink after the beach, and watching the light go long in the evening. Guests will have full access to the entire two bedroom condo, the private covered patio, and the in unit washer and dryer, plus Island Retreat's shared amenities including the pools, tennis and pickleball courts, sand volleyball, basketball court, BBQ pavilions, and the private boardwalk to the beach. Self check-in is available at the keypad lock on the front door, so you can arrive on your own schedule. The Love Shack is on the ground floor with a step free walk from the parking area to your door. There are no interior stairs and no elevator. Parking is available on site. Guests register at the Island Retreat office just inside the community entrance to pick up a parking permit and pool wristbands. If the office is closed when you arrive, check the box out front for your condo number.

Port Aransas itself is a small, unhurried Gulf town where golf carts outnumber traffic and the day is built around the tide. Fisherman's Wharf and the charter docks, Roberts Point Park, the free ferry, and the Leonabelle Turnbull Birding Center are all close by, along with the seafood joints, taco stands, and beach bars that give the town its character. Mustang Island State Park and the Port Aransas Nature Preserve put paddling, surfing, and birding within easy reach.

A car is the easiest way to reach Port Aransas, and on site parking is available with a community permit from the Island Retreat office. From Corpus Christi, take Highway 361 north across Mustang Island. From Aransas Pass, the free Port Aransas ferry runs around the clock and drops you minutes from town. Once you are here, most of Port Aransas gets around by golf cart, and Island Retreat has golf cart parking on the grounds. Beach driving is allowed on Port Aransas beaches with a beach parking permit, and the community boardwalk puts the sand within an easy walk if you would rather leave the car where it is.

Other Things to Note • Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM. • Quiet hours are observed from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM in consideration of our neighbors. • Maximum occupancy is 4 guests. Only registered guests are permitted. • Pets are not permitted. • Register at the Island Retreat office on arrival for your parking permit and pool wristbands. • Pool wristbands are required to use the community pools. • The Love Shack is on the ground floor with no interior stairs and no elevator. • Golf carts are a popular way to get around Port Aransas and are welcome in the community. • Beach driving is allowed on Port Aransas beaches, and a beach parking permit is required. • Coastal Texas evenings can bring mosquitoes, so bug spray is worth packing. • WiFi is provided but can slow down when the island is busy. • Every reservation includes accidental damage protection for added peace of mind. • Additional fees and taxes may apply to your reservation total. • No smoking, parties, or events.
