Overview
Welcome to Glacier Peak Lodge! Admire magnificent and breathtaking views of Yosemite National Park and the Merced River Canyon. Perched high above the road, this home commands presence and offers the privacy you desire. The Glacier Peak Lodge has the most outstanding view potential of any home in Yosemite West. On a typical day, you can see through many of the picturesque windows for miles. After a long day of hiking, swimming, or sightseeing in beautiful Yosemite National Park, you can come home to unwind by watching the sunset from the comfort of your living room. This home features bedrooms equipped with 14-inch memory foam mattresses for a relaxing night's sleep and four roll-away beds. This lodge also offers a large living room, a spacious kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, a rustic dining room, and two large decks. Wireless Bluetooth speakers are also available. The lower apartment is occupied with a tenant April-October. Things to Know During the winter months (affected months vary upon on the weather), all patio items are stored away. The grill will also not be available during this time. There is WiFi at the property, but only for web browsing and email; it is not available for streaming. Due to Glacier Peak Lodge's unique mountain terrain perched high on a hillside, during our winter season from November 1st through April 30th, this property can only be accessed by using the stair entry, which has an additional 26 steps leading up into its main entrance. This is not a problem for most people and is well worth the climb for its amazing views. Frequent power outages do occur in the area, no compensation will be offered for this. Please be prepared.

Everything, amazing place. We loved it. The best way to explore Yosemite.
We had a great time. Very spacious. Would stay here again.
The views and overall location of this property are absolutely beautiful, and the floor-to-ceiling windows, vaulted ceilings, large decks, and open floor plan make for a great setting in Yosemite West. The home has a lot of potential and comfortably accommodates larger groups, but for the price point—well over $1,100 per night—we expected a significantly better overall experience and level of upkeep. Unfortunately, there were several maintenance, cleanliness, and comfort issues throughout the stay. The mattresses were worn out and sagging. Cleanliness was inconsistent throughout the home, with dusty surfaces, spider webs in the windows and ceilings. Several kitchen glasses appeared cloudy or filmed over, and the sliding glass doors were also very dirty. Overall, the kitchen could benefit from a deeper cleaning and better attention to detail between guests. The lack of basic household supplies was especially disappointing given the nightly rate. Minimal amounts of very low-quality toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, laundry detergent, and bathroom products were provided for a multi-day stay with several guests. We were also surprised by the motel-quality towels and linens at this price point. While the rental agreement mentions bringing additional supplies, most guests paying luxury-level rates would reasonably expect a better quality and quantity of essentials. One additional concern was the unexpected presence of a man living downstairs near the garage. Based on the listing, we believed we were renting the entire property, so discovering someone living on-site without clear disclosure beforehand was uncomfortable and unsettling for our group. Overall, the home itself and the views are stunning, and there are definitely positives including strong Wi-Fi, spacious gathering areas, central HVAC, and a great location. However, the property currently feels more like a heavily used rental than a premium luxury experience. With better maintenance, deeper cleaning, upgraded bedding and supplies, and improved transparency, this could easily become a five-star property.
Such a great house! It was huge, great view of Yosemite! Huge windows that allows you to see everything! Rooms were huge clean and plenty of space to enjoy!
Very comfortable house, parking a little tight, but you get used to it. Great location, it’s a keeper.
I've rented vacation homes from all the major companies, in several different states, both for my large family of 7 as well as for girls trip weekends away. This is likely the very best home I've stayed in! The home itself is beautiful, spacious, and clean. All the bed linens and towels were spotless. There were no weird smells or anything hidden in the listing that was negative. The location (while visiting Yosemite) can't be beat! Highly recommend this property, and would come back in a heartbeat!
